I turned up on Sunday 30 August with my wife and two boys (8 & 13) all feeling knackered after being up Ben Nevis and not feeling like driving 300 miles home. Went in while trying to find somewhere to eat and was offered family room. Lady asked me to look at it first so I did. Hotel has obviously... more

Unpretentious and rather shabby but spotlessly clean and a good comfortable bed, though there were a few anxious moments before the shower condescended to work. Excellent breakfast served by very pleasant staff, receptionist the night before couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Excellent restaurant a few doors along the street and a nearby pub with a local "character" to... more

My husband and I decided to stop in Fort Williams on our recent honeymoon to Scotland (August 2007) and hadn't booked lodging in advance. It turns out it was a Bankers Holiday so we felt a little pressed to find something early and thought we'd lucked out finding the Ossian's Hotel, which had a tiny parking lot and is very... more

I do like modern hotels under different circumstances with all the mod cons but one can, if desired live... more

The room was so dated. The sheets on the bed were musty and damp. The bed itself was so old the bed springs were uncomfortable to sleep on. The shower was from the dark ages, a plastic cubicle like a caravan shower. The televison only got a fuzzy reception that was after moving it centimeters at time to try and... more

My partner and I decided to spend the weekend away for our anniversary. After a lovely stay at the Bosville Hotel in Portree, Skye, we headed for Fort William. We hadn't booked a room so when we turned up at the Ossian Hotel and found out that they had a room available, we thought we were very lucky and took... more

My husband and I often travel to Fort William for a weekend break, as we have found the locals and visitors to be really friendly and lots of fun. This visit, we decided to stay as central in town as possible. The Grand, which is really clean, friendly and comfortable was fully booked, so we decided to stay in Ossians... more
