My Hubby and I stopped here on an ice climbing weekend. we normally camp and thought we'd splash out and get a nice hotel! The website portrays a gorgeous looking old building.... do not be fooled! The room was filthy, it hadn't been hoovered for some time, hairs, fluff and bits of tissue all over and more under the bed.... more
The hotel could be likened to Faulty towers, minus the comedy. Rooms were small, noisey (the room had a big gap in the glass panel above the door), and quite light at night (the glass panel, and the thinnest curtains I've seen) and the side costal view (which we appear to have been charged for, despite not requesting it /... more
i booked a five day holiday to the cruachan hotel for my husband and myself.after reading some of the reviews about this hotel i must admit i was a bit apprehensive but we enjoyed it immensley, the hotel, was warm and clean, the meals were excellent with plenty of choice and the staff were efficient and friendly.there was evening entertainment on four of... more

But the main thing is the folk singer Stephen Quigg who appears here sometimes but check first. What a wonderful singer if we do a 700 mile round trip... more
We must have had the same room as the Redbarron. The most uncomfortable double bed we have ever experienced anywhere. No shower in the bathroom. Bathroom shelf came off into the hand basin. Smells and noise from the kitchen below. When we complained about ther shelf the Polish girl on reception said that this was a fault in all of... more

great location only a few minutes walk to centre of fort william, fabulous views over the loch, rooms a decent size and cleaned to my high standards daily. Food and drink an excellent variety . We were on a coach tour, with about three/four choices for every coarse and they sold a good selection of drinks. The staff at the... more
