Cruachan Hotel is a little out of Fort William and all the better for it - ample car parking on the front. Not particularly welcoming - very disjointed staffing and no-one seemingly in charge. Breakfast staff very friendly and food good. Nice elevated patio area out the front of the hotel to enjoy a cool lager overlooking the loch. Rooms... more

The main building of this hotel is amazing, however we did not stay in the main building. For our stay, the only rooms available were in "the annex". The decor was really quaint and appealing. The rooms were clean and nice but they were not much more that what one would find at a value roadside motel. To get to... more

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at the Cruachan which we believe doesn't deserve even the 2 stars it claims and had the cheek to charge £95 per night. Whilst there's no doubt about the beautiful view of the loch and the mountains just across the road the hotel itself seems to be stuck in a fifties time warp.... more

This a wonderful hotel!! My family and I were passing through Fort Williams on road trip and only stayed one night in this beautiful hotel. The hotel is located right on the loch with a magnificent view. As you walk in, there is a nice, cozy Pub to your left, waiting area to your right with a connected dining room.... more

after a long trip from the highlands my wife and i saw the sign for the hotel and thought it ideal for the town to walk in and eat... after booking in and finding our room what a shock! it smelt of damp, had mildew on curtains and walls and after one night had our clothes in the wardrobe smelling... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel with my wife’s parents who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, and it will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. One member of staff, in particular was extremely rude and discourteous, although I must say that most were very pleasant. The food was disgusting, I must admit it’s the first time... more

I went to the CRUACHAN HOTEL for 3 days in July to celebrate my birthday . As I am from from Fort William but not lived there for many years it was great to stay in the centre and in the hotel where I used to visit as a young girl along with my mom & dad. The hotel certainly... more
