Beautiful looking house on the outside, disappointing room inside. On arrival, we were told breakfast was AT 8.30 as they liked to get everyone down at the same time! In addition we were asked if we ate traditional English cooked breakfast which we said we did. The next morning, there was fresh fruit salad (nice), cereals, toast etc, but the... More

We decided that Fort William would be ideal for a one night stop over on our way to Ullapool. What a lovely surprise, the view Loch Linnhe was stunning and our stay first class in every way. Breakfast was served at 8.30am and being a nice morning we enjoyed a walk along the Loch before eating. Only wished we were... More

We had 2 days at Lawriestone in May 2014. This is a fine old building in a lovely location with good parking. Our room was large with all fittings of a high standard. Breakfast was all right regarding full cooked breakfast but limited choice of cereal and fruit. Main disappointment was in not being able to pay with a credit... More

Booked by Ullapool Tourist information office, we didn't know what to expect, and we didn't mind paying a bit more as we definitely wanted a 'proper' bed after climbing Ben Nevis. We where delighted with the furnishings and decor. The landlady is a delight, and breakfast was all you could hope for.

Booked into Lawriestone Guest House at the last minute during the busy summer period in the Highlands. They were able to accommodate our requirement of a double and a twin room for one night. This is a beautiful old house that has been tastefully decorated and appointed. Rooms are spacious and our double room had marvellous views across Loch Linnhe.... More

We stayed here for three nights in June with friends from America. We are both mature couples & we couldn't have been made more welcome. The breakfasts were good & when we mentioned that we wanted to go to a local fish restaurant for dinner they phoned up & booked a table for us as they said we would need... More

The building & decorations have to be described as beautiful as the owner has no doubt spent a lot of time & money on doing her best at achieving a luxury feel & she has achieved this. On walking in we were immediately aware that the stay would be wonderful & we were not disappointed. The room was beautifully furnished... More

A nice guest house, with very good sized bedrooms. The room was nicely presented, with very comfortable beds & plenty of space. The shower had a power shower which is always a bonus. The cooked breakfast was hearty, with Cereals ,Toast, Teas & Coffee etc. The room was a bit twee but that wouldn't stop us from staying here again.... More

We recently spent a night at the Lawriestone Guest House. Upon first greeting the host felt a bit stiff, but soon thereafter he warmed, completely reversing our original reaction. The rooms were clean and lovely, the view onto the Loch was excellent, and all in all we were left with a very positive memory. It is a quiet location, a... More
