Booked by Ullapool Tourist information office, we didn't know what to expect, and we didn't mind paying a bit more as we definitely wanted a 'proper' bed after climbing Ben Nevis. We where delighted with the furnishings and decor. The landlady is a delight, and breakfast was all you could hope for.

Booked into Lawriestone Guest House at the last minute during the busy summer period in the Highlands. They were able to accommodate our requirement of a double and a twin room for one night. This is a beautiful old house that has been tastefully decorated and appointed. Rooms are spacious and our double room had marvellous views across Loch Linnhe.... More

We stayed here for three nights in June with friends from America. We are both mature couples & we couldn't have been made more welcome. The breakfasts were good & when we mentioned that we wanted to go to a local fish restaurant for dinner they phoned up & booked a table for us as they said we would need... More

The building & decorations have to be described as beautiful as the owner has no doubt spent a lot of time & money on doing her best at achieving a luxury feel & she has achieved this. On walking in we were immediately aware that the stay would be wonderful & we were not disappointed. The room was beautifully furnished... More

A nice guest house, with very good sized bedrooms. The room was nicely presented, with very comfortable beds & plenty of space. The shower had a power shower which is always a bonus. The cooked breakfast was hearty, with Cereals ,Toast, Teas & Coffee etc. The room was a bit twee but that wouldn't stop us from staying here again.... More

We recently spent a night at the Lawriestone Guest House. Upon first greeting the host felt a bit stiff, but soon thereafter he warmed, completely reversing our original reaction. The rooms were clean and lovely, the view onto the Loch was excellent, and all in all we were left with a very positive memory. It is a quiet location, a... More

Have stayed here before and got in here late evening as I hadn't booked any accommodation. Welcome was warm considering the hour, admittedly there were a surprising number of properties with vacancies. Stayed in a twin room which was comfortable and warmed up when heating was put on, TV decent. I had to go early in the morning but the... More

We stayed 1 night on our first trip to Scotland and were taken back by the lovely old building outside and in. However it is a place you feel like you are an intrusion into the owners lives. Not a warm welcome like experienced else where in Scotland. It was a bit like being in a musuem/library. Dont touch and... More

This B&B existed for the hosts and not the guests. One of those places where you feel you should be on your best behaviour whisper to your partner and put a foot out of place at your peril. Welcome matters - we had ridden in the rain 250 miles and took our boots off in the hall out of respect... More
