I recently took my boyfriend to Scotland to celebrate his Birthday. I was looking for a hotel near the Commando Memorial in Speen Bridge and I couldn't have found a more perfect hotel. Old Pines is a small family run hotel, the quality of service is intimate and setting overlooking Ben Nevis is something special. A MUST is dinning in... more

Stayed here for 2 nights with 6 adults, 4 children and 1 dog.(no charge for dog which is unusual but how it should be)The food was first class, rooms well furnished with nice little touches like hand made biscuits to have with your coffee. The staff were very attentive but also very discreet which was nice. If you like peace and... more

Old Pines Bed and Breakfast in Spean Bridge, Scotland is a rural B and B set in the most beautiful setting. It looks out onto Ben Nevis and a pasture of sheep and cattle. It is set in a grove of pine trees and the hospitality is warm, welcoming, and very attentive. The rooms are well appointed and the staff... more

Andrew, Carol & Matthew, Angus We experienced a warm, friendly, relaxing atmosphere at this hotel. The food was excellent - freshly cooked - the home baking was delicious. They can cater for all ages and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect - at the head of the Great Glen with panoramic... more

Stayed for 2 nights at the Old Pines with our 4 yr old son. Current owners, the Dalleys, very welcoming. Hotel has a comfortable, relaxed feel, quickly felt at home, peaceful and tranquil. Our room was fairly compact, there was space for a fold-down bed for our son. Well-equipped, great power shower in stylish en-suite, DVD player in room [good... more

We booked a one-night stay at The Pines because of their good recommendation on TripAdvisor. The hotel is small and friendly - probably a dozen rooms. Our room was a family room (though just 2 of us) with bunk beds included! It was spacious for 2, very clean, and decorated in country style. Shower was good too! The highlight of... more

I can't really agree with the previous reviews. I stayed at the Old Pines in February 2003 and found it fairly average. The food is pretty good but on Sunday night only supper is served which was no way up to the standard I would expect for the price. The rooms are small and as a previous reviewer mentioned the... more

We spent 2 days at the Old Pines in September 2004 and had a very good stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the pre- and post- dinner drinks in the lounge where we had an opportunity to chat with the other guests. The rooms had a cabin feel. They were nice... more

The friendliness and personal service afforded visitors to this hotel is second to none. The food is excellent (the best I,ve had for a long time), the rooms comfortable and warm. Full marks to the owners and all the staff. It was a shame to leave. The location is ideal for visitors to the area with good communication routes to... more
