Our room was on the top floor facing the Loch which was lovely but a bit chilly (in late July). Be sure to request a room facing the Loch. Wonderful redesign of former church manse. Internet did not work anywhere except the restaurant. Staff was friendly.

Only stayed for one night and my views are somewhat mixed. The common areas of the hotel were very nice and the room was very clean. The en suite, whilst clean, was a little tired - badly needed new flooring but not the end of the world. Breakfast, however, was truly awful. It was supposed to be a full cooked... More

We stayed at the Lime Tree largely because it had a well rated restaurant. However, when we checked in (at 5:45pm) we were told that we could have a table at 6:15 or 8:45. All tables in between had already been allocated. The attitude of the restaurant manager was "take it or leave it" - he really didn't seem to... More

Very much enjoyed our stay at Lime Tree Inn. We arrived with a very warm welcome and the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We sat in one of the living rooms and enjoyed a drink after dinner. Only stayed 1 night wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend

We stayed here last week and had a disappointing visit. Good points: Nice breakfast, comfy bed and views over the water, free parking Bad points: Our shower wouldn't work at all, WiFi didnt work, breakfast service was poor (forgotten items and slow to attend), small room, long walk from town centre Very overpriced at £120 for two people 1 night's... We stayed on 31st May 2015. The rooms are great, location handy for the town, and staff are friendly, but the food was not up to standard. Evening meal veggie was a poor attempt at a 'mushroom stack'. Breakfast was a disaster. Asked for porridge, 'haven't any left'. I'll have Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs, 'sorry haven't any of that... More

Arrived here very early early in the am after running the West Highland Way race and it was fantastic. Perfect tub to soak and clean up after the race. Super comfy bed and quiet space. Breakfast was yummy too. Great location for walking around Fort William and very nice staff.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel - two nights taking in the Jacobite steam train. Room and ensuite good, breakfast excellent; evening meal very good. Hotel is just a step from the centre of Ft William with its bars and outdoorsy shops.

Booked this hotel on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews and it proved to be the right decision!! Warm welcome, cases carried to room and the family room we stayed in was huge with two king size beds and a brilliant on suite. We had dinner in hotel with a friend from Fort William where we also met the owners.... More

a restorative experience. Compared to our previous BnB this was just great. Spacious room, excellent and spacious bathroom. Excellent bed! Breakfast very good with superb croissants! Scottish breakfast featured artisan sausage etc and no trace of fat or oil. Gallery highly impressive
