We stayed for 3 nights, 10 of us on a family trip. Location of the hotel is great and parking was not a problem for any of us including my dad who doesn't walk very well. Rooms were absolutely fine, clean and much better than expected. There was not a great deal of storage space for luggage but that wasn't... More

Good location, easy to find, with a very friendly atmosphere, delighful food, with well chosen wines. The two lounge rooms are quite cosy and welcoming. Rooms are old fashioned but very comfortable; ours had a nice view on the sea port.

This lodging is advertised a a quaint , lovely, historical building on well tended grounds in central Fort William Scotland. The location is easy to find but there are some quick maneuvers necessary to enter the driveway. Parking is a major issue here. The building and grounds appear to be well tended and historical. If your definition of "quaint" includes... More

Overlooking the loch, the Lime Tree is a lovely converted manse, handy for the station. It houses an art gallery with great decor, top notch bed linen and a scrumptious breakfast menu. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend it!

We had a one night stay before a charity night climb of Ben Nevis. The Lime Tree was a great base to relax after the 400 mile drive up. Pleasant spacious room overlooking the Loch, ensured a good nights sleep before the climb. We had made a reservation in the restaurant for evening, good choice on the menu, portions were... More

Having stayed here 4 times in as many years we always had high regard for the Lime Tree with its fabulous restaurant and art gallery. I would have said it was the best place to stay in Fort William. Sadly this last visit will be exactly that - the last visit . We booked for 3 days to end our... More

Sorry other guests kept you awake. We did ask them to remember other guests were trying to sleep (including us) and they did tone it down. Would point out every room has a telephone that connects to us which you can use to ring us if you were disturbed and we would have helped. We honestly try our best to... More

This place is a step up from your average B&B. It is beautifully situated just off the main shopping strip of Fort William with uninterrupted views to the loch. It also has a gallery space and uses the walls of the lounge and bedrooms to display original art works for sale. There are three separate areas to relax in other... More

The hotel itself is attractive and the two lounges are lovely. Breakfast was fine and our room in the more recent extension was ok but I believe the rooms in the original building are even nicer. The hammering that started at 7.50 was a bit of a surprise but not a problem as we were awake. Would certainly return.

I'm a great fan of Fawlty Towers and staying at the Lime Tree was about as close as I will ever get. Twice, in a week, on the way up, and on the way down. The hotel is lovely inside - nice decor, comfortable room, good bath and shower - clean. Two big living rooms near the front door for... More

We stayed at the Lime Tree for four nights in late June. Compared with some of the rather tired-looking hotels in Fort William, this was very smart and beautifully done up. The lounges were stunning, with an open fire roaring in the evening. All the rooms downstairs are enhanced by lovely paintings and the hotel has its own art gallery.... More
