My husband and I spent 2 nights at The Lime Tree after walking the West Highland Way. It was just what we were looking for after not being too keen on the other hotels in the area. Our room we had (top floor) had a great view of the mountains and water. The room was spacious enough but I think... More

Great location, good service, lovely food - breakfast in the room rate was fantastic. Evening meal in hotel restaurant was also fantastic - but do try a few other restaurants in Fort William like the sea food restaurant on the front and the Indian on the high street - both very good. Ben Nevis pub good location and service for... More

We stayed here for one night at the end of our West Highland Way. They only had a family room left with two double beds and it was excellent: spacious and well decorated with an excellent bathroom. Only complaint was that the heating was a little high and we couldn't turn down the heaters meaning we had to open the... More

My husband and I stayed overnight at this hotel. the setting is stunning, the welcoming warm and genuine, the food first class. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the water, with a lovely four poster bed and every extra you could wish for. The two lounges on the ground floor are comfortable, with beautiful open fires. There is... More

This hotel is lovely - we stayed just one night between days skiing in the nearby ski resorts. Our room was on the top floor with a fantastic view over the loch. The room itself was very well decorated, and the bed was so comfortable. The room had a ensuite with a toilet, bath and shower. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant... More

I have been thru / stayed in Ft William many times and always struggled to find somewhere nice to eat - and now I have. Room was nice and bathroom clean and tidy and really appreciated the open fire. Restaurant was quiet but that was fine by me. We ate there two nights and pretty much all good. I had... More

Really nice hotel; friendly atmosphere. Well equipped rooms and unusually for a Scottish hotel - wifi access in the bedrooms. The restaurant is however the jewel in the crown. Think I tried most dishes on the menu over the 3 nights and I was never disappointed. The dishes are exciting without being pretentious. I loved the use of local ingredients,... More

Just returned from a weekend at the Lime Tree. Fantastic stay, breakfast lovely with great selection to choose from. All staff very friendly. Location perfect, 2 minutes walk into town. Our room had a dream of a view. A beautiful hotel with splendid facilities, would love to have an excuse to return soon.

Spent a night here last week. Nice friendly welcome, was even shown to the room rather than the usual directions you're given. Huge comfortable bed and decent bathroom. There was an odd few quirks, the power outlets were at skirting board level, the kettle cord didn't reach so i had to sit the kettle on the floor to make coffee.... More
