For the money charged this place needs to improve. Nice and quirky, but customer service and the beds are poor. Management attitude needs to change too. Refunds SHOULD be given if what we pay for is not provided at a decent standard. It is expensive for what you get so standards need to rise. Food was good but nothing special... more

The current rack rate for the Lime Tree is £40.00 pp/night B&B. Our winter 2009/10 offer is that if you stay for two nights you get a third night free of charge. Hope that clears up the confusion.

We loved the Lime Tree. Gorgeous inn with lavish, ski-lodge style furnishings - skylights - amazing bathroom, too. Cozy sitting rooms where you are treated to complimentaries before dinner at the AMAZING restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is nice too! All in all, a fantastic place to gaze upon Loch Linnhe on your way to the Pass of Glencoe. more

This is a most intriguing place to stay. This lovely victorian building is predominantly an art gallery and restaurant with the addition of hotel accomodation. Although a little rough around the edges, the place has warmth and character in abundance. The rooms are very clean although a little more attention to detail (soaps, towels etc) could be implimented. The restaurant... more

I cannot see where the really negatives views come from ! A group of 6 of us arrived and had a lovely welcome. Very friendly and efficient. I had just finished the Ben Nevis Hill Race and the girl on reception made sure there was pleanty hot water. Room 6 was great - perfectly clean with nice decor. Bathroom was... more

The lime tree is where my husband and i chose to have our wedding reception and the most perfect day of my life to date! The location of the hotel is brilliant, we opened our curtains to the most beautiful view of the loch and mountains. The staff worked so hard to provide us with a fantastic meal (extensive wedding... more

The Lime Tree Hotel costs above 100 GBP a night, but for me, it offers great value. Me and my father went on a one-week trip to Scotland from Norway driving around in northern Scotland and the Orkneys, and among my five different hotels, the Lime Tree Hotel felt like in its own class, above the three star mediocre hotels... more

I and five friends stayed at this hotel the night before to taking part in the Caledonian Challenge, a 54 mile hike aimed at raising money for a local Scottish charity. We needed good food and a sound nights sleep at a friendly and well-run hotel before the exertions of the next day. Sadly, the Lime Tree failed in every... more

Why so wildly varying reviews? Some 5 out of 5, some just 1, how could it be so different? First of all the positives, the hotel is centrally located, with gardens and a small car park. The highlight is that the food in the restaurant is outstanding. Lots of local organic produce, fish and lamb are well worth the price.... more

What a huge disappointment staying here was. It is very overpriced for what you get. There are plenty of other B&B's and hotels in the area. Shop around. The room was below average: cheap, tacky and mismatched furnishings and not lovely or easily accessible in the least. Worst of all it had a very uncomfortable bed. And it's far from... more

I was planning on booking this hotel as a surprise for my parents. Peoples individual comments indeed did not put me off booking but the replies from the owner are enough to make me think twice. Having working in teh hospitality industry of over 17 years these remarks are terrible and show a complete lack of customer service, guest reviews... more
