very good hotel, food excellent., very polite and approachable staff. Had room with Loch view. Entertainment every night. Bus stop across the road from hotel. Rooms cleaned every day. Could not fault this hotel. Would definitely go back again. more

My room was clean and comfortable with a power shower and even a trouser press. The food was well cooked with a reasonable choice and all the staff I met were efficient and pleasant. The public rooms were smaller than some hotels I have visited but this is a 2* not a 5* hotel. I thought it was excellent value... more

Pokey little room in back of hotel with no view. Noise, Noise and more Noise. Sheets/blankets (no duvets) which smelt like they hadn't be washed in ages. Room also had an odour. Manager was unwilling to be of any help. Not interested in what the customer had to say. Somewhere I'll never visit again. more

The reviews I read almost made me cancel. I steeled myself for the worst and was pleasantly surprised. For a two star hotel it wasn't bad - small bedroom but clean . Stayed at the Croit Anna for one night on the way home from Orkney, wish we had driven passed! Man on reception looked and acted suicidal, water poured in from the ceiling into buckets on the floor the ceiling was actually sagging where it was leaking from. The room was very,very tired. stayed for 4 nights on a tour to Fort William, found the hotel clean, the food was excellent, apart from the brocolli!! the staff were charming and helpful, money needs to be spent on the windows and the beds need duvets apart from that I would not hesitate to reccomend it. Went to Croit Anna with Alfa travel. Wonderful time, hotel a little tired in places but clean and plenty of hot water. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was hot and tasty. The room smelt strongly of smoke, I complained to head office and they said they had a policy of no smoking in the rooms. Clearly they should go and inspect their hotels.
