We stayed here as a stop over from home to Plckton. The hotel is located on the High Street in Fort William with ample free parking. It is am older building so is commensurate with its age. However our room was lovely and unexpected 4 poster bed and a good view of the loch from the window. The room was... More

Let me preface this by staying that the staff is friendly, helpful and polite; they just don't have much to work with here. We chose the Alexandra because of its location near the train station; friends raised their eyebrows and suggested we might have done better at the Premier. Wish we had listened. The Alexandra Hotel is definitely in need... More

This hotel is in an excellent location The town is within a couple of minutes stroll and the walk through the town garden alongside the loch is beautiful. The hotel is partially an older building and partially new so has character in the public rooms with plenty of space as this is a popular hotel. The rooms, most of which... More

My wife booked here for a night as a treat for my belated birthday. For a short break (or longer!) this hotel is an excellent choice for any length of stay. We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and the manager (even our golden Labrador was made welcome!) We had a superior room which gave us a great view... More

Showed up here after the hostel my friend booked turned out too be too creepy. Lovely place, comfy beds, and a very thorough breakfast. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Their advice even helped us secure tickets on the Jacobite steam train the next day. While I did't plan to stay here originally, I'd definitely stay again... More

Good points: reasonably clean and with professional and very kind staff, the central position. Other points: The hotel is a Victorian building, tired and in need of maintenance. The breakfast is good but the other meals are not top quality. A reasonable stop on your way to or from the West Coast.

Stayed here whilst working in the area, checked in quickly by the friendly reception staff. Upon entering my room, I found that the place was spotless, if a little dated and a few creaky floor boards. No big deal though.. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water though and a great shower and bath.. makes a difference! I ate in the... More

Stayed a night in this hotel and found the room reasonably comfortable, the staff very polite and helpful, the breakfast more than adequate and the price reasonable by local standards for the time of year (early July). Overall, pretty satisfied (although the WiFi covered a very restricted area - did not extend to dining room)

Room was clean and spacious, with a lift for those with unwieldy bags. Breakfast had a selection of local black pudding, haggis, sausages and other bits and pieces so something for everyone. Just across the road from the train station so very convenient for catching the coach or train to other parts of Scotland.
