Stayed 1 night here and had a wonderful time. Lodge is off on its own facing Ben Nevis. Lovely countryside and views (although windows very small in our room). Great room with all the facilities one needs. No elevator, so steps could be an issue for some. Host (Ian) was terrific; very helpful and friendly. Everything tidy and ship shape... more

This hotel should be held up as an example of how a hotel should be run - friendly staff, clean modern rooms, perfect peace and quiet, excellent food and drink. We stayed one night on our way up the west coast and can't recommend this highly enough. Only 5 minutes drive from Roybridge and 15 from Fort William, it's definitely... more

I stayed at the Gleanspean Lodge for a weekend (3 nights) while I was working in Scotland. I wanted a nice relaxing few days between the weeks of work so looked for a suitable hotel which was away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities but close enough so I could pop out and “do the lottery”. What... more

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful. Excellent personal service. Our room (No.11) had a lovely bathroom also. We had our meals at the hotel and they were excellent. Prices compared to those in Fort William and we had plenty! Cooked breakfast to order were good too. We would... more

I wanted a base for touring the western highlands, and found Glenspean Lodge. I'm so glad that I did. While the hotel is about 14 miles from Fort William, that's part of its charm. It is away from the city, where you can enjoy the serenity. The scenery, including a direct view of Ben Nevis from the front of the... more

Booked two twin rooms at this hotel as GoldCrownClub member approx two months ahead of stay and having read reviews on this site. This was supposed to be a quality hotel for our last two nights of touring Scotland. Based on the information we had seen, we were under the impression that the hotel was close to Fort William but... more

We spent two nights at this hotel and will be returning. The place was clean and in good order. Our room was at the top of the building which meant a lot of stairs but once there it was quiet and adequately equipped. The bathroom was clean and had a large bath with a shower, the bedroom had enough storage... more

Stayed here on 27th July for one night. The holtel looks nice from the outside but our room (no. 8) was like a sauna. Part of the ceilling and wall had been boxed off and we soon realised why - the water pipes run through the room and the heat and noise from them was dreadful! Looked clean on the... more

We stayed at the Glenspean in early April and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The owners/hosts were delightful! They are husband and wife team and seem to take great interest of every aspect of the running of this beautiful countryside lodge. They couldn't have been more accommodating when we showed up a day early in hopes of securing (2)... more
