Dropped in here after a meeting in Fort William - owner on desk ignored me! The older lady (Mrs Owner I suspect) in the bar ignored me too until I said hello to her. She was pleasant enough but her hands were flithy - inground dirt and dirt under nails. In stark comparison the young chap who served me my... more

But my experience at this hotel was fantastic. Both myself and my 12 friends agreed that this was the best place we had stayed at on our annual "Highland Fling" tours... and we are a fussy bunch! The welcome was warm! Morris & Sandra were the perfect hosts as were their staff, nothing was ever too much trouble! The rooms... more

We ate at the Stronlossit when we were staying in the area while providing wolves for Monarch of the Glen. We found the food excellent, the staff friendly and the service first class, even to providing food for weary workers quite late, even though we were not actually staying there. Maurice and Sandra are lovely people and I find it... more

Terrible experience at this location. My experience is being reported to Visit Scotland advising them of my visit and staff at this Hotel. Unfortunately received very poor customer service and the food was extremely disappointing. After complaining to staff members about the food, they dealt with this in a very unprofessional manner which was shocking. more

I am a Canadian school teacher and my wife and I have travelled extensively. We have just completed 3 weeks in Ireland and Scotland and I have NEVER ONCE complained about an establishment. Until now !! The Stronlossit Inn was , beyond a doubt, the very worst experience that we have encountered in our travels. It was over-priced to say... more

My family and i went for dinner here the other night with 2 children and couldn't believe the disgracefull attitude of the owner; we were made to feel like 2nd class citizens for having dared to come with children. I thought pehaps she had a personality disorder due to the fact that it seemed beyond her that i wanted to... more

We stayed for two day's. The welcome by the owner was warm. We had a very nice room, everything was in perfect condition, clean and well kept. The bathroom was a feast for the eye. The breakfast was good and the eveningmeals excellent. The staff from Romania could do with some lessons in English, but there were no problems. They... more

This has got to be the worst hotel in Lochaber. The staff are dismissive and the manager (?) was downright rude. The menu promises a great deal, but delivers nothing. The quality of the ingredients was dreadful, the service poor, and it was all very poorly prepared. The Mussels were an all-time low, apparantly microwaved and served in some sort... more
