Booked due to being advertised at a reasonable price. After reading reviews on trip advisor was a little sceptical but you get what you pay for. Nice clean room, decent size with free wifi and free view television. Nice view overlooking the large garden. We ate twice in the restaurant, upon arrival a leaving customer told us not to eat... wasn't even worthy of a 2.5 rating which is the lowest we could give it according to booking.com. Management/staffs attitude and service was disgusting above everything. Hotel decor is dated to go along with this the room we stayed in had a distinct musky damp smell and atmosphere, chairs, bed covers, pillows all damp feeling (it was lovely n sunny... More

rooms so small there was only room for one suitcase to be opened. No elevator. No TV reception or internet. My daughter ordered the mussels and they were so bad the entire table stank. I know my mussels and these things were dead before they even hit the pot.

After reading reviews good & bad decided to book and try, why not, if I dont like I do not go back. Greeted and checked in by the manager and our room just top of stairs, spaciou, clean and lovely view of the garden and Duck ponds. As we arrived about 6.30pm ish we decided to eat there. Showed to... More

Just returned from a 4 day 3 night stay here with a couple of biking mates. To be honest we had a fab time. The staff were friendly and humorous with us. The bar was excellent and the food was fairly reasonable. Not brilliant but acceptable. We found the prices to be relatively good, given the area. It is generally... More

I feel like the title pretty much sums up our stay but just to summarise: 1. The rudest staff I have ever encountered. 2. Food was genuinely awful. 5 of us ate in the restaurant and 3 meals had to be sent back (would've sent back all 5 but we didn't have the heart) 3. After sending back the food... More

Not such a great experience.. We entered the fray starving aftera long journey and we were gretted promptly by a rather grumpy lady who then took our initial drinks order. I was killing on nice pint, but wanted some tap water first - we were then presented with mineral water which peed us both off as I was going to... More

The staff were extremely rude and the food was awful!!! The rooms were fairly comfortable and were fine for a couple nights stay, but DO NOT waste your money or risk your health eating in the restaurant. It was over priced and truly horrible! I was with a group of 4 others and not one of us enjoyed our meal.... More

A nice, comfortable hotel/inn serving evening meals to both residents & non-residents- very busy between 7pm & 8pm, so a wait is almost inevitable, but worth it. The food was terrific, portions generous and the service was very good. Breakfasts were equally tasty. Minor irritation in that our double bed had a duvet that was barely big enough! Wi-fi was... Ample car parking at the front off the road. Reception was quick and efficient. Our room the upgraded room was well furnished and bathroom more than adequate. However from there on in it went a little down hill. Eating options without driving are extremely limited and effectively you are eating in the hotel. While the evening food is a little... More
