We had pre paid our booking, advising that we would arrive at about 10.30pm having spent the day walking. When we phoned the hotel at 10pm saying that we were still on the mountain and would be a little later, the reply was. "I'm going home now and can't be bothered going into the bar to let someone else know.... More

I can only assume that the reviews that are written praising the landlord of this place must have some sort of connection to him. We have some friends staying with us and did not have enough room to put them up so they stayed at this local hotel. The food, service, and smell of greasy food in the bedroom made... More

Really clean and modern rooms. Lovely hosts and a nice bar and restaurant. Stunning views of the mountains. Was quiet in the off season but would be really busy when the snow is about. Stayed there for only one night but would definitely stay again.

Hi, We stopped off on Easter Sunday for a break and after ordering and paying for drinks at the bar, asked to see the menu. We were advised that the soup of the day was vegetable so we ordered two of them. What was served to us was unmistakeably tinned soup and when the bill came, not only were we... More

Visited the inn to have a meal a few weeks ago - had the chicken in white wine sauce option. Food was cooked well and the restaurant area had decent decor a good fire. Spoke to the owner and locals for a while (who were friendly) and he gave me good tips on where to go off the beaten track... More

Had a great time here while deer stalking. My colleague and I were looked after by Maurice and Sandra, the generous hosts. I can't thank them enough for drying our wet kit and feeding us like royalty. I find the negative reviews unexplainable. The rooms were warm and well appointed, the bar is cosy and the food is great. Good... More

I came in for dinner and a pint with a large group of bellringers and was worried that at this time of year the Stronlossit might not be able to cope. My fears were quite groundless and everyone enjoyed a good meal, served reasonably quickly. Prices were modest, portions generous, hosts friendly and the beer was good. No bellringer would... More

We got five star treatment from Maurice, Sandra and the staff of the Stronlossit. We were a group of 12 up for my husband's last Munro. I had read the negative reviews of the hotel and didn't know really what to expect, but found that we had a very good room - big clean and warm - with a huge... More

My husband and I once again had a lovely stay at this Roybridge Inn we even took friends along with us. The rooms we had were fresh, clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are friendly and made us welcome. We had no complaints about the food either and will go again as it is a good base away from Fort... More

My partner and i stayed here last week. It is a pub/restaurant/B&B. It is centrally located just outside fort william,to get all over the highlands. The budget room is as expected, very basic. If you don't want basic, book a better room. The beds are rather too firm for my liking but that is just my taste. The bar and dining area is... More
