Easy walk into town alongside of the loch. Town suffering from empty shops, but plenty of eating places. Adequate ground floor bedroom, south facing over the main road and loch. The thin roller blind and thin curtains failed to keep out the sun and sleeping was difficult. The bed was somewhat hard too. Usual TV, tea, coffee and biscuits were... More

Jane, the hostess & gardener, and Jo the cook & maintenance help, are smiling friendly owners of a well kept clean establishment, and over 7 n in May '13, I was able to observe the standard didn't slip. The views from the loch facing upstairs rooms and the tables and chairs in the front beautifully colourful garden are breath-taking. You... More

We stayed one night at Hillview Guest House during our recent trip to Scotland. We had an upstairs room with a gorgeous view over Loch Linnhe. It was a good sized room that was nice and bright. Kind of an odd shower partly in the bedroom—not bad or anything; just different. Jane was nice and we had a tasty breakfast.... More

When we decided to take a break in Fort William, we booked the first guest house that was bike friendly... how lucky for us that it was with Jo and Jane. They make the whole holiday a lot more than somewhere just to stay, we have never stayed somewhere so amazing. This little haven was everything that a guest house... More

We had a lovely warm welcome from Jane and Jo, they are the nicest B n B owners we have met! The room was spotless and very well presented, we had lovely views over the loch and the breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty, it was made better with the views of the loch from the dinning room! If you... More

I can personally back up, without the overkill, reviews for Hillview Guest House. The price for an overnight stay including breakfast is excellent. We booked a room with a view over the loch, which was faultless and absolutely stunning. If you don't get the front rooms, then the view from the breakfast room will accommodate, such a spiritual way to... More

A really lovely, clean, friendly guest house perfectly located to explore Fort William, The Nevis Range, Glen Coe and the lovely West coast. Jane and Jo go out of their way to make the stay nice the perfect place to stay after a day out on the mountains. Our room was spotless, with nice facilities, ample parking and the owners... More

A lovely warm place to stay, Jane was extremely welcoming. The breakfast was a great way to warm us up for our walk up Ben Nevis, which is only a 5 minute drive away. If you want a well priced, attractive stay then this is the place! The views whilst you eat your breakfast should be enough to convince you... More

What a lovely relaxing pleasant stay we had with Jane and Joe. They more than made up for the slightly inclement weather. The view from the hotel was magnificent, even in bad weather. The lounge and dining room both look over the Loch, both were lovely rooms, tastefully decorated. We had five nights in Hillview, and felt more than welcome.... More

After we'd had a full day's sightseeing, and driving in the rain, from Edinburgh, Jane's big smile was like a welcoming beacon that drew us in from the bad weather and eased us into a restful and relaxing evening. During our three-night stay, we enjoyed the beautiful view of Loch Linnhe from the breakfast room, as well as from our... More
