As a Scot living abroad I found this hotel to be wonderfully atmospheric and reminiscent of an old Scottish shooting lodge. The living room had wonderful overstuffed sofas (plumped up by the staff at frequent intervals) and the sun room dining area, although unusually hot due to the sun streaming in the windows, had views second to none. Mountains reaching... more

I am very well travelled, and have stayed all around the world, and believe you me i can complain if needs be, but couldent . food service and quality, the best. stayed two nights. I will start with what is good about the hotel, it has lovely food and one member of good staff. She was a cleaner and very pleasant. Now here comes the list of bad things. When we were eating our breakfast in the morning , our peace was ruined by what seemed to be the boss flapping at one of... more

My wife and I stayed here first in 2005, and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent, and the staff were very helpful if a little brusque. We decided to go back for part of our honeymoon in 2006, and they really let themselves down. We arrived in the morning on the sleeper train, as I'm sure many people must... more

The hotel is situated on the banks of Loch Lochy with spectacular views of the loch and surrounding mountains. We were lucky that it was sunny when we arrived so could sit outside and enjoy the view with a very welcome drink following a drive up through Glen Coe (magnificent!) from Edinburgh. Our room was quite small and, despite being... more

We had high expectations after seeing the hotel on the web-site and in the Johansens guide. On arrival the hotel (sorry lodge!) looked shabby and run-down, with derelict garden furniture. The allocated room - double with loch view requested - was small with a single wardrobe and a very restricted view. We were told the rooms were smaller because this... more

Having arrived with high expectations we were very sorry to find that this hotel was one of the least loved we have ever stayed in. Although the view from the dining room was excellent and evening meal good (at £47.50 it ought to be but if you wanted anything other than belly pork or pigeon on our first night there... more

We were originally meant to stay in a different hotel in Fort William, but on checking in we immediately started to look for an alternative. Found the Corriegour Lodge in a brochure, called them up and they had availability for 3 nights. This hotel and staff made our stay in Scotland! The staff are very attentive to every detail -... more

In Scotland to celebrate our silver wedding - I had previously dismissed Corriegour as it was not in an area we intended visiting. Booking into an hotel on the Road to the Isles (yes I will be writing a review!), for 2 nights to take in our actual anniversary, we left early. Not finding anything along the Road to the... more
