What a fantastic weekend! The hotel was fabulous. Food was wonderful. Evening meals showed why hotel was awarded an AA Rosette for 2006-7. Service was great, staff were friendly but not hovering over you. Room was huge & seating area had wonderful view of the loch and mountains. Even though the road was between the hotel and the loch, we... more

We decided to return to the Lodge on the Loch for a second time. Our first visit in 2002 was way above our expectations and the proprietors couldn't have been more welcoming. This time, we stayed in the 'Body & Soul' room. On arrival we were met by the (new) owner and shown to our room. He asked if we... more

Booked this hotel to take my pregnant wife away for a luxury weekend - how I was so wrong. Upon arrival we were followed in to our room by the owner and chef asking what we wanted for dinner - upon rejecting several requests we were basically taken down a road to accept what they had. Not exactly the relaxed... more

Recently spent four nights at this hotel as part of a tour we had planned for our honeymoon. The website showed the hotel as something special and luxurious. We were very dissapointed. The common part s of the hotel are sad and need decoration, skylights have cobwebs. No central heating and the bathroom was cold. I was told by a... more

We passed the hotel and thought we´d try to book a night on spec. We stayed in the Monarch of the Glen Room. Fantastic, view over the lake from a bay window. Fantastic bathroom. The road was noisy at night but we had the windows open!. The INCLUSIVE meal was of a calibre we had witnessed a couple of weeks... more

My girlfriend and I stayed in the "Nature's Dawn" room at the Lodge on the Loch very recently. As we arrived, the hotel and grounds looked very well maintained, with the exception of the “O” and “T” missing from the huge “HOTEL” sign on the building which now red “HEL”. We laughed and hoped it wasn't a bad omen!! Firstly,... more

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on our Honeymoon and it was lovely. We stayed in Nature's Dawn which was a beautiful room and the view was fantastic. The service was excellent and food was first class. They do still provide Dinner, B & B and no there isn't much to do for children but it does say... more
