Having just returned from The Lodge on The Loch I was amazed to read some of the very negative reviews above. Granted, I would not call this a 'boutique' hotel in the usual sense but I do think that the hotel has a great deal to recommend it. We found our lake-view room (Rennie Mactinosh) clean, recently decorated and well-maintained... more

I wanted to write a quick review of the hotel as I searched all of the reviews before going myself! I took my partner to Lodge on the Loch for his 30th birthday and had a lovely time. The location is very quiet, but the scenery is excellent. The hotel was very nice, the Hotel Manager very friendly and the... more

I had the pleasure of staying at the Lodge on the Loch for an entire week and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Myself and 7 other work colleagues were taking part in a photoshoot in the stunning area of Glencoe, Scotland and the Lodge of the Loch provided the ideal base, location and facilities for all of our needs. Home... more

My husband and I re-visited this hotel recently after staying here for our honeymoon in 2006. We were yet again impressed with the quality and service. Our room 'The Monarch of the Glen' has a fantastic panoramic view over the loch, the bathroom contains a double free standing bath, more than big enough for two. The evening meal was once... more

Great views, great rooms, great food and great staff..... Ok, it's a tad on the pricey side, but you'll feel well looked after and well fed afterwards! more

The website for this hotel is very misleading, the hotel is advertised as a boutique hotel, and as you walk in to the reception this may look as though it is true. When we walked in there was not a sole to be seen, then the 'receptionist' appeared and we were asked to check in, which we did but on... more

We stayed when the hotel was very quiet. The rooms are nice, they've spent a lot of money making stylish bedrooms out of an old building. As usual, the photos on their web-site present them at their very best! They've got a good chef here, and the receptionist was very pleasant too. more

As soon as we arrived my wife-to-be and I realised something was fundamentally wrong with this hotel. Lights were off, a musty stale smell hung in the air, and the surly gardener (who later morphed into the waiter) was fixing the step at the front door, making entry to the hotel tricky. We were shown up to our room via... more

Just returned from an overnight stay at the Lodge on the Loch hotel. We arrived about 3pm and were immediately checked into the Nova Scotia room which was a fantastic sized room with spa bath and an amazing view over Loch Linnhe. We spoke to the Chef who discussed what we would like for dinner that evening, as we were... more

What a fantastic weekend! The hotel was fabulous. Food was wonderful. Evening meals showed why hotel was awarded an AA Rosette for 2006-7. Service was great, staff were friendly but not hovering over you. Room was huge & seating area had wonderful view of the loch and mountains. Even though the road was between the hotel and the loch, we... more
