My Father and I were due to stay here before and after climbing Ben Nevis on the August Bank Holiday weekend. I rang and made the reservation about 6 weeks prior. We were flying from London to Glasgow and then driving to Fort William and were due to arrive at around 10pm. I informed the owner (Mildred) that we would... More

Glengyle House is a first class B&B, run professionally and warmly by Mildred and John. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Breakfast is an excellent choice, wonderfully cooked and served in a well appointed dining room. Look no further.

We went to Fort William to climb Ben Nevis - some of us didn't due to the awful weather! But those who did were very grateful to have such a lovely place to come back to. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable and the welcome warm. The breakfast was great. We could see nothing wrong with the kettle!

The hosts were rude just because I asked for a change of the kettle because I thought I saw some rust at the coil in the boiler. They got angry and accused me of being rude. Mildred's husband snatched over the kettle and turned to me rudely saying that it's just elements. They even slammed the door at me and... More

Four of us stayed for 3 nights beginning March and could not find fault with the accommodation. We were in Scotland to ski and we're worried the sites were closed due to high winds, Mildred went out of her way to phone all ski areas to update us, which was very kind of her. It was also my Birthday over... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here and would thoroughly recommend it. Our room was large and comfortable and our breakfast was excellent. Mildred was an excellent host who provided helpful advice. Good location within easy walking distance of the railway station (Jacobite Steam Train) and restaurants in town.

Glengyle House is an excellent establishment. We opted for the self catering unit, which had everything we needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Thanks to Robert, Mildred and Craig for helping to make our weekend so special. Extra thanks to Craig for the dietary advice. A fantastic experience in a... More

Having had a bit of nightmare journey from Birmingham, we could not have been accommodated any better by our hosts. Nice homely rooms, good breakfast & a great personal touch supplying us with weather for the mountains we were climbing. Spot on, highly recommend this place.

This was exactly what we needed after cycling the West Highland Way. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We had the warmest of welcomes. Everything was immaculate. The room was spacious and comfortable, the shower really good, the lines bright white and the towels soft and big! The owners couldn't have been more accommodating. They made space in... More
