I did a couple of nights Helpxing here (working 5 hours a day for free accommodation) and it was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend you try it if you can get a spot! The atmosphere there was very chilled, sometimes a fire in the backyard. The gardens are well up kept (by me) and it is in a very accessible location. Good... More

Great small homely charming hostel with good vibes! From the Ft William bus station it's about a 10min walk (with my backpack) to the hostel. It's located on the same street as many other much more expensive B&Bs, so you enjoy the same amenities nearby. High St, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets are 5-10mins away. Ben Nevis is a 15-20min walk away,... More

This hostel was great. The staff were very friendly and inclusive, one night we all stayed up playing parlour games. The hostel itself is only 20 minutes walk from the train station and it's about 5 minutes to get to the trail for cow hill (nice little walk, with astonishing views). It's also very conveniently located for getting to Ben... More

We stayed at the Backpackers whilst doing the 3 Peak Challenge. Good We were welcomed by Kelsie who was very polite, friendly and a bubbly character. The room was clean and tidy. The power showers were excellent. Close to the town centre. Friendly reading area. Bad Could do with extra toilets. Poor Wi-Fi

Friendly young staff who are more than happy to help. Very relaxed atmosphere, small self catering kitchen, enough fridges for food. Close to the high street with places to drink and food shops. Nice mix of people there.

This hostel is pretty similar to the rest of this chain. The good: - Free milk, chocolate, coffee and tea - You can stay for free if you work a couple of hours per day - Surprisingly charming chilling / reading areas - Really nice staff - The general mood is really cozy and student-like The bad: - Pretty crappy... I arrived at this hostel around 21:30pm, I was greeted by Kelsie who was polite and friendly. She checked me in and told me where everything was e.t.c. I then went up to my room which was clean and warm. All the areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and lounge area were clean and I have no complaints about these... More

It has been quite a while since i stayed in a hostel but this brought back good memories of my travels around new Zealand. It was a good base for 14 of us who had decided to climb Ben Nevis as part of a friends birthday celebrations. I cant really comment on the beds as both nights i was far... More

Basic accommodation but very cheap and comfortable. 5 of us stayed in an 8 bed dorm with 3 others - great way to make new acquaintances. Friendly and helpful staff, good kitchen facilities although we chose to have breakfast in the local Wetherspoons rather than take time cooking our own. Only criticism was the hostel could have done with more... More
