Firstly the room we had faced the back and therefore a bit dingy and the back garden we looked out to was like a scrapyard. Unfortunately the room was so smelly of a drain problem from the bathroom that o stay was not a good experience at all. The place was clean enough and therefore I think the rooms on... More

My wife & I stayed here while I was on the way to climb Ben Nevis which you can see across the loch, the scenery is breath taking. When I came back I just needed a good rest which I found here the food and hospitality was great we stayed for three days we shall come again

What a lovey place. Norman was a very friendly and gracious host. Kilmalyn House has an extremely clean environment. A most fantastic typical hot Scottish breakfast was on offer. We loved the fresh eggs from their very own chicken coop. We had room 1- (street side), facing the water and the majestic mountains in the background. we had a very... More

Friendly, welcoming host and cook with an impressive Scottish skiing record! Hearty traditional breakfast to set you up for the day (recommend the 'Ben Nevis' breakfast if you're going to be hiking). Nice personal touches in the clean and individually furnished rooms, including homemade shortbread. Worth staying just outside Fort William for as you get to appreciate Ben Nevis and... More

Although this was slightly out of town, it was a really lovely setting and the family room was very nice. Breakfast was great, and the host friendly. It is obviously a work in progress on the outside. It will be superb when it is completed. Only slight disappointment was the fact the shower in the family room was a hand... More

I spent two nights here, and was really impressed. We stayed in the family room with our 11 year old son, and our friends were across the landing in the double room. Both rooms were lovely, and completely different from each other in terms of style. Lots of fluffy pillows and cushions and the feather duvet made it a really... More

The room was furnished with classic old world charm. The view from our window of beautiful Scottish hills. Norman our host provided excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. Kilmalyn has a warm welcoming, and homely atmosphere. We would love to stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for a couple of nights in June. The room was large, comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious (highly recommend the "Ben Nevis"!) and Norman was really friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge. A great base for climbing Ben Nevis or exploring the area.

Lovely people. Beautiful house, with great rooms. Fantastic bath and awesome breakfasts. I love staying here when I come up to Fort William for work. It is almost like a home away from home. Cannot recommend this place enough.
