We stayed one night on our way to Skye. The owner was friendly and helpful, explaining the local amenities. There was a good selection for breakfast, which was plentiful and cooked to order. Our waitress at breakfast was friendly, polite and very efficient. Thank you!

On a trip through Scotland we stayed one night at the Guisachan Guesthouse before we left for the Isle of Skye. There is not that much to say, since the BnB offered what we asked for. Clean room, good breakfast and pretty close to the "city"-center with some good restaurants. Recommended if you do not need an extra-fancy BnB.

We were a group of 7 adults aged from 43 to 62 travelling on 5 motorbikes doing a trip around Scotland, and staying at various B&Bs, this was our first. The day we arrived it had been pouring down and we were all like drowned rats. We had already been told that we would be able to park our bikes... More

After our previous visit three years ago, we looked forward to arriving and were not disappointed. Matthew welcomed us and showed us to a superb room on the ground floor with a superb view out over the water. Even better than our previous one. It was wonderful to soak in a lovely hot bath after a fortnight of showers. Breakfast... More

Guisachan house is the perfect stay in Fort William. Matthew and Edith are the loveliest of people and they run a beautiful situated guesthouse. Built against the hills of Fort William, the views are incredible whilst enjoying your full Scottish breakfast in the dining room. The guesthouse also accommodates a lounge room with bar included. The rooms are comfortable with... More

At the end of our walk, this was a great place to stay, with a bath to have a good soak and centrally situated to go out in the evening for a meal and to wander around Fort William. The staff were friendly and helpful, to the point of being offered a lift to the station in the morning as... More

The room we were in was rather old fashioned in 1970's decor but very clean and comfortable with a brilliant view over the Loch. The best thing about this guest house is the care and attention of the owners. The good impression started when we rang Matthew to ask him to book a taxi to rescue our footsore group and... More

We stayed here for one night before walking the Great Glen Way. The hotel's location is very good as it is convenient for the town but quiet at night and has outstanding views. They have a car park so cars can be left off road. We had a lovely warm welcome and Matthew gave us a map of the town... More

Since I've not stayed in all the B&B's in Fort William, my title may be a little over the top; however, if Guisachan Guesthouse is not the best, it's certainly among the best! Comfortable, clean, quiet, great breakfasts (my husband said they cook the best fried eggs he's had!). Matthew and Edith, the owners and hosts are so helpful and... More

Edith and Matthew are wonderful hosts, I have stayed there with groups I have led walking the West Highland Way 3 times in the last 20 months. It is nicely located just near the railway station so easy to get luggage to and does have wonderful views over the water and great sunsets. Most of the rooms are adequate size... More
