We left it late in booking accom for the Marathon 2014 So pleased that the found this lovely guest house. Hosts Wilma and Colin were just great. Wifi included we just couldn't fault the place. Nothing was too much trouble. Had breakfast before marathon at the crack of dawn but could have it whenever we wanted. Just booked again for... More

My wife and I stayed at Carbisdale on our 1st overseas trip in 2007, and we have been back to Carbisdale 2 times since. Wilma & Colin are kind and welcoming hosts, and have made our stay delightful each time. I have read other posts about it being nothing special and ordinary, but I am afraid those guests must have... To avoid for single person as the price is almost the same as for a couple in B&B, but I don't eat for 2. 66 pounds for a single in B&B and 68 for a couple in B&B. I asked why but no other answer than : "it is the price". The room for this price was really disappointing, old... More

We stayed 2 nights there. Ideal location in the center of Inverness, room was clean but only one bathroom, in which the only toilet of the house is located, for the all guests (8 when we stayed there). However the shower is great. Breakfast is good without being extraordinary. Hosts were nice and polite but not much more.

Thank you for your review of our Guest House. We are very sorry you were not completely satisfied. However, we would like to point out that we do indeed have 4 bathrooms in our property. Two of our letting bedrooms have private ensuite facilities whilst our other two letting bedrooms share use of the bathroom which you were using. These... More

Beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms, great showers, delicious veggie breakfast, firendly and very generous owners. We've been to Carbisdale a few times and alwasy try to book it when we know we're going to Inverness. The house is a traditional Inverness red-stone building, and the garden delightful. Charles Street is very central and easy to get to on foot from... More

We‘ve started our Scotland trip here and had a warm welcome by Wilma. Breakfast is proper and the rooms contain everything you need. Parking situation may get a bit difficult (esp. from 8 am to 6 pm) - on the other hand it‘s close to the city (but absolute quiet), offering shopping possibilities already from early morning as well as... My son and I had a one night stay at Carbisdale in a twin room - not en suite - and we slept very well in the comfortable beds and enjoyed a hearty breakfast with many options. Fortunately we found a parking spot in the street very close to the house entrance and did not need to use the car... More

House behind the main street, not far from the university, very quiet, the owner of the yard very warm, breakfast was delicious, the room is small but everything is ok, not far from the River Ness, but if it is for bus to isle of skye , I suggest you twenty minutes ahead of departure, this is a quiet city,... We had a wonderful two-night stay at the Carbisdale Bed and Breakfast while in Inverness. The location was perfect - in a very quiet neighborhood and only five to ten minutes away from the shopping and dining center of the city. Wilma was very welcoming and lovely to chat with. Colin took care of us during breakfast and was very... More

We stayed for the Monster Swim in Loch Ness for 3 nights. Can't really fault this place at all; friendly owners, fantastic room, great breakfast (caters well for veggies) and probably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Only 5 mins walk into town, we'll be back if we ever come to Inverness again.
