Stayed 13th- 15th June as a family plus dog. Excellent family room, very clean, brilliantly white towels and bedding, with on suite. Toiletries also supplied, as well as a towel for the dog, and a dog treat. The views of the river were fab, it's just a short walk into town and private car park at the rear. Breakfasts had... More

Cavell House is a great place to have a romantic stay. The 4 poster bed and nice furniture takes you back in time. Havind breakfast in the dining room while soft classical music 's playing is relaxing. Camilla, the hostess makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. She's friendly, ready for a chat and helps you find a... More

A comfortable and homely b&b but with more little luxuries and personal touches than a 5star hotel. A lot of love and thought has been put into the room and experience, and this definitely showed. My dog was also welcomed with happiness, not reluctance like you get at a lot of establishments, with dog biscuits and even sausages for breakfast!... More

We were there in July - had quite small room in attic - did not fee comfortable - first time in a B&B and not keen to repeat the experience - left as soon as we could in the morning - this B&B was highly recommended by a relative - they must have had a different room

After driving from London via Edinburgh, what a wonderful welcome we received from Camilla who made us feel at home immediately. We spent three wonderful nights at Cavelle House in a very clean, comfortable and homely room with the most beautiful view of the river Ness and enjoyed the best walk ever on the walkway of the river. The breakfasts... More

B&B is decorated nicely, well situated, well priced, and nice people running it. I was happy with the cost and the entire experience. Breakfast was good but the only comment I have is about the breakfast, and this is more of a personal issue as opposed to a complaint. You have to write down what you want fro breakfast the... More

Loved this place. For a reasonable price provided a huge room (ensuite) a massive delicious breakfast and, best of all, a comfortable space for our French Bulldog. Right across from the Ness River (canal?) and the small but beautifully kept Cavell park this place is a must do. The owners are super cool too!

Stayed one night on a motorbike tour of Scotland. Camilla was very welcoming and chatty and keen to ensure we were settled and comfortable. Lovely big old room with high ceiling overlooking with a view to the river and a nice ensuite. It is true to say as another reviewer pointed out that the large windows mean you can be... More

We stayed one night in July. Great location near the river and only a short walk into town. The house and rooms have plenty of character and our room was spacious with a big bathroom. Choice and quality of breakfast was extremely good. Only thing I would suggest would be, hire a gardener! First impressions are important and the gardens... More
