Booked 2 rooms here nearly 2 months in advance but, despite it stating on the website that people weren't allowed to share rooms with strangers, we were given 3 rooms, 2 of which were already half full. Being a large group of men we were very uncomfortable sharing with young women so tried to get it sorted at reception. The... More

we arrived rather late so we called the hostel to let them know and they left the key to us outside the reception. Free milk for breakfast, and the staff kept our luggage for free in the luggage room and even let us use their kitchen after checking out! Thank you so much!

This place was fine for purpose but was lacking a little. The beds were comfortable and there were lockers you just needed you own lock. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are good kitchen facilities with free tea and coffee and milk. There is also a living room social space. A couple of downsides are that there are definitely... More

This has been my favourite hostel in Scotland so far, and the best value by a mile. I've been paying £17+ in other towns for lack of anywhere else to stay in the winter, but as a backpacker on a budget this is pretty damn unrealistic to keep up for long. Its nice to find somewhere like Inverness Tourist Hostel... More

Just stayed for a night by myself, and didn't use much of the hostel facility apart from the room, shower and bathroom. It's housed in an old building, and the atmosphere isn't great; but it's okay, expected for the price. The 6-bed room seemed to be clean, and smelt like some sort of room spray - I wasn't sure if... The rooms are clean , the linen are clean , the showers is kept clean , however , they stay occupied , ( no. of beds per shower ratio is low ) which are occupied during checkout times everyday . so shower either early or late in the evening . The hot water sometimes cut out and does not come... More

I've stayed in far worse and in much better. If you're after a bed and a shower for cheap, you're set. the bed may be squeaky and equipped with a wafer thin pillow, but the sheets are clean and the matress could be worse. The showers are crappy and gross, but again, I've had worse. Just be careful as they... More

I'm afraid this is an average hostel, the door to the room didn't shut properly, so it was insecure. There are lockers but you need your own padlock. The rooms are not the biggest in the world but I had no issues. I would suggest if you are a light sleeper you don't look at a hostel. The kitchen was... More

The rooms were a fine size but everything was pretty filthy and smelt horrific. Its definitely not worth it - even though it seems cheap - i suggest paying more for a nicer place. Staying here really ruined my stay in inverness. The door to the dorm rattled everytime some shut a door on anywhere in the complex. extremely hard... More
