Had another visit to Dugie and Fiona's guest house. We actually forget what it's called at times, we just say 'phone Dugie's and see if he has a room available'. The rooms (stayed in a few of them) are always comfortable, warm and clean. We always feel very welcome. It's also very handy for walks along the river, visiting Eden... More

A lovely comfortable guest house in a perfect location just a few minutes walk to the River Ness and the City Centre. Very comfortable. Dugie and Fiona are perfect hosts serving a lovely breakfast to set you up for the day. Have already booked another stay.

Loved the ambience of Acorn House. The tartan carpeting and other highland touches were welcoming and not overpowering. We were running late from our anticipated check-in time but a quick phone call and it was extended by two hours (we managed to arrive well within that time but having the leeway made us feel less rushed). Breakfast was excellent -... More

We were two families which were kindly welcomed, by hostess Fiona, for five nights at Acorn House. We had two family rooms which were nice and clean. Another really good thing was the lounge which was a natural place for us to finish the evenings. The breakfast was excellent and a " full Scottish breakfast " is recommended (no need... More

My wife, 3 years old daughter and I stayed at Acorn Guest House over the weekend of 26-29 September 2015 at Acorn House in Room 4. The location is very good for the centre of Inverness, and was easily walkable from the Train Station in about 15 minutes. Also, given that we were there for the Loch Ness Marathon weekend,... More

Our stay here was excellent! They were so friendly and helpful! We were traveling with a large group and some of our bags got mixed up. The lady contacted the other B&B and drove us to change the bags. That was above and beyond! I'm embarrassed to say I forgot to leave them a tip! I will make it up...... More

Location was perfect and easy to find. Great to have parking and be able to walk downtown. Hosts were very welcoming. Lots of room in our cozy room. Wonderful breakfast served by Mr. Cameron, one of the owners.

It's so great to see Dugie and Fiona again. The family room didn't disappoint and the food is as wonderful as always. I'm so glad to be with our friends again. The chats and jokes always makes our stay that more fun.
