Found it difficult to rate this. We came to it after a number of Gogh class bnbs but in some ways it stood up well. Location could not be better with main st just across the bridge! River view from room excellent. Room and bathroom newly renovated and good. We found the bed small. Breakfast unimaginative but very well cooked!... More

Thank you for the recommendation. Unsure what you meant by " Gogh class bnbs", maybe you can explain? Also what you meant by "breakfast unimaginative", we do not make swan shaped tomatoes , pyramid scrambled eggs or funny shaped.......just a traditional , well cooked fresh breakfast. Real shame that you did not give the location full marks ! More

Pros: good central location; friendly staff; excellent breakfast. Cons: our room was a bit cramped (when you opened the bathroom door, it hit the end of the bed); bathroom was too dim (even with both lights on).

We are really pleased that overall you seemed to have enjoyed your stay. I am not sure as to why you wanted to open the bathroom door at 90 degrees, normally you would open to exit or enter and this would not encroach on the bed space. We are trying to protect our environment, therefore all our guest house supports... More

We were given a warm welcome after a grueling rental car experience. The Victorian house is located in a beautiful part of Inverness. The owners were kind and engaging and helped carry our bags to and from our room. Our twin room, overlooking the river, was clean and very comfortable. We were amazed as there was an ice machine on our... More

I stayed for one night at Strathness House and received a very warm welcome. The bedroom facilities were excellent. The waitress breakfast service was really professional and friendly, whilst the owners catered for my specific needs. Well worth a visit. I will be staying again.

Traditional Scottish B&B. Friendly helpful staff. Easy to find right on the river /bridge with river views from front rooms.5-10 mins walk from main areas. 20 mins walk from station and next to cathederal and eden theatre. Only downside no parking which is £4.50 for 24h , but that too is 2 mins away.

Inverness was not originally on our itinerary. But we had to pick up a car and so booked a night at the Strathness House, and we're glad we did. We had a wonderful view of the Ness river and of St Andrew's, "UK's oldest post-reformation cathedral." Comfortable, immaculately clean, tastefully decorated with owners that are warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable... More

Strathness is my favourite place to stay in Inverness. Great location, warm welcome, clean comfortable room and plenty for breakfast (including soya milk for tea and cereal). Also well placed for good places to eat out in the evening. There's nothing else you need to know.

The location and price point of this bed and breAkfast is awesome. My husband and I are from Canada, and when booking accommodations, tours, restaurants, we rely heavily on tripadvisor to guide us where to stay and what to do. The reviews of this place were absolutely accurate. The rooms were clean, the owners friendly, and the wi-if signal was... More

Have been coming here since 2010 and everytime I come I'm always made most welcome. As to all earlier reviews I can say not one thing has changed except they now have a well deserved 4 star rating which is of no surprise. This little guest house checks all boxes, immaculate inside and out, tastefully decorated, friendly staff and management,... More
