When you visit a guest house, hotel or B&B the first time and you rate it excellent, you maybe looking with rose-tinted glasses. But I think that the true test is when you return for a second visit. Your expectations are already high and you wonder if everything will be as good as the first time. We were not let... More

Two of us had a twin room for one night while on a trip to visit the Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns. I would stay at Abermar Guesthouse in Inverness definitely if I returned without even looking to find anything else. * So convenient to walk across the bridge to the city centre * Very easy to drive into the... This was an easy to find and nicely located B&B to the west of the river, with just a 5 minute walk into the city over the suspension bridge. Well-maintained, clean, warm and quiet, with a lovely Scottish Breakfast to start my next day's ride. Good off-road parking for the bike - Happy Bunny! :-)

We stayed for three nights earlier this week and had a very enjoyable stay. From the moment we were greeted until we left, we could not fault a thing. The bedroom and shower room were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable indeed. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice to suit everyone and all very tasty. Our hosts... More

I always stay at Abermar - it's a great place, spotless and comfortable rooms, great food and friendly hosts. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! Lots of off road parking too, I left the car there all week while I was on a course. So central you can walk to the city centre in ten minutes. Love it, especially the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, must be the best 3 star B&B in Inverness, if not Scotland. The room was spotlessly clean & comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts Alison & James were delightful. If you needed a recommendation of where to eat or where to visit they had a suggestion. We are not seasoned travellers but would recommend... More

This was our first experience of a guest house, and it is amazing that there can be so many in the one city. We visited in the off-season with "No vacancy" on almost every window, but Abermar welcomed us. We had a spacious double room upstairs with a small lounge, newly renovated en-suite and a comfortable bed that was clean... More

We stayed four nights at Abermar two weeks ago.The welcome couldnt have been any better or more sincere. The accomodation was first class. The breakfast was also, with many choices,if a cooked breakfast was not required.Allison and James, had a huge knowledge of the area, and gave us lots of advice on where to visit, and what to see.Which we were pleased to... Stayed at the Abermar from February to June this year as I was working in Inverness. room was spacious and very clean. I had a comfy bed and access to free wifi. The breakfast each morning was amazing great selection and well cooked and Alison even bought me in my favourite yoghurts. Now that's what you call service! James and... More
