Lovely, simple and clean guest house which doesn't break your budget - the best place I've stayed in Inverness so far! Very comfy bed and a cosy room (amazing shortbread with tea& coffee in the room!). Good breakfast though allow a bit more time for it than usual as it could be served a bit quicker. Apart from that, a... More

I stayed at Mardon Guest house for one week (18th to 25th October). The hosts, James and Angela, were very helpful with the local knowledge. The weather was terrible - strong wind and a lot of rain - and the only heating hiccup was a thermostat valve that had become stuck. This was promptly dealt with. James also stated that... More

This is a beautiful little B&B in Inverness. We stayed in the family room on the top floor towards the back of the property which was very quiet & comfortable. The location is very good, it's about a 5 minute walk from the center of town. There's a parking lot behind the house so if you're driving up it's a... More

The hosts did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The only thing I would say is they were too helpful when we first arrived, after a long drive we wanted less information and to get to our room! However they were lovely and we wish them every success. Room was lovely, great breakfast, free parking and... More

First greeting very woolly and obviously scripted. Bedroom doors creaky. unable to get round bed comfortably due to dressing table and chair situated in the corner. Bathroom very nice but no heating. Our friends who are pensioners and 1 disabled had a front room which had no heating in the bedroom, they were very cold. All the signs were written... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Guest House. We truly value the opinions of our guests and we apologize that we did not meet with your expectations. Firstly, I'm sorry that you didn't like our greeting but it certainly wasn't scripted. Secondly, I've oiled the bedroom doors so they don't creak anymore. Next, the bed in room... More

I was up in Inverness for the Loch Ness marathon and found the Mardon very convenient, being reasonable walking distance from the town centre and the Race Village. Though the street is fairly busy, the house was very quiet. I liked the owners James and Angela and they were very helpful and perfectly happy to serve breakfast for runners (there... More

I stayed here just for one night on my way to the NW Scotland and I have nothing to say that is bad. If you need to stay in Inverness stay here. Good value, very clean, good size single room and bathroom. Great range for breakfast. Tea and coffee, with free shortbreads! Lovely welcome by James and Angela. About 10... More

We spent two nights here in a very comfortable and quiet room. Mardon is in a great location, just across the river from Old Town Inverness and close to many restaurants. James and Angela were very helpful, even making multiple phone calls to help us get our blown tire fixed on a bank holiday weekend. Breakfast was lovely. We highly... More

James and Angela were excellent hosts during our 2-night stay. The breakfasts were amazing. James was eager to help us find places to go and enjoyed hearing our stories as well. The house is close enough to the downtown but not in the middle of the city. The walk across the bridge was fun and the view was breathtaking. There... More

Just 5 minutes walk to the city. Its just a small guesthouse. Rooms and showers are very clean. Rooms in the rear are maybee a little bit more quiet. Has also car parkings for the guests. Nice, friendly and very helpfull staff.
