We stayed in the Dionard on an overnight-stopover to the Highlands. The welcome was VERY enthusiastic and the breakfast really, really good and BIG. We were slighlty amused the evening before when warned about the size but we understood what BIG meant when we saw the plate. The B&B is in a nice location as it's in walking distance to... more

We stayed at Dionard this October just by chance and weren’t we lucky. This is no ordinary B&B and all the good things written about John & Val are absolutely true – we too were especially impressed when John brought a jug of fresh milk to our room for when we made our tea, or coffee. From John’s friendly welcome,... more

My Partner and I stayed at the Dionard for 2 nights in October and in the lovely superior room which was immaculate with King Size bed, large en suite, TV, Fridge, everything you would need. John and Val were such great hosts and gave great advice on eating out in the local area and were helpful on everything we asked... more

Very pleasant, friendly hosts who know the area well. Their recommendations for eating out/ having a quiet drink/visitor attractions were spot on for our requirements. The guest house was in excellent decorative order and in a quiet street within easy walkig distance of the city centre . Although we disliked ordering breakfast the night before we were certainly not disappointed... more

This was our first trip to Inverness where we needed to find Guest House accomodation and we were not disappointed. Dionard's website was very good and it was nice to be able to book online. The Guest House was lovely, spotlessly clean, smartly decorated and furnished and with a homely atmosphere. Our room, the superior double and its en-suite were... more

Had a wonderful time. This is a beautiful Victorian house with charming rooms. Val and John Forbes, the proprietors, provided first class service. They are a delightful couple who really make you feel welcome. The place is immaculate with lovely furnishings. The food was outstanding. The location can't be beat. You're right in the center of town. Definitely highly recommended.... more

We stayed here for one night on a road trip round Scotland. We had a lovely stay and we were dissappointed to only stay here 1 night :(John and Val are welcoming, very friendly and helpful. The house is really well looked after and is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We stayed in their executive double room... more

We stayed for 5 nights (25-29) at the end of July at Dionard. The hosts, John and Val Forbes, are welcoming and very friendly. Their knowledge of the attractions and facilities, both within the immediate vicinity and wider, is thorough and extremely helpful: John's advice about car hire was invaluable and Val's recommendation of the Aberiachan Garden on Loch Ness... more

We stayed just one night at Dionard on route to a family party in the far north. We were upgraded to a superior room which was huge, and had all the comforts of home. Our room was on the front and adjacent to a busy road, so there was some road noise for most of the night, but it wasn't... more

We stayed here on our trip from Stirling to the Orkneys. It was very nice and John and Val went to great lengths to make sure the guestrooms were comfortable. We had a "minor" family emergency in the states while we were here and had difficulty calling home. John just handed me his phone and told me to call directly.... more
