The hole experience of being at the castle was magical to say the least. Went there a few years ago for a family wedding and as a fellow "Scot" it just made it that little extra special. The whole atmosphere was great and the castle inside is really nice to look at and you can just feel the history that... More

My wife and I first visited this venue for a private tour about 20 years ago, when it had been restored and first opened to the public after falling into decades if decay. The owner himself who was from Canada and had inherited the castle guided the tour and explained the spooky castle history. It is reputed to be haunted... More

We stayed on our honeymoon and it was great! Beautiful and amazing place. Only thing was the two piece bathroom in the bedroom was really cold but would definitely go back again. Caroline was the sweetest hostess ever.

We stayed in the Murray Suite while at Castle Stuart. You could feel the history of the castle once inside; it was like being in another century. Lady Caroline is very gracious :-) The modern touches, attention to detail and the food was superb. The miniature Shetlands at too cute. This was our first stay at a castle ... we... More

My wife and I had our honeymoon at Castle Stuart in 2004 (well before the golf and other general hype) and we have returned there several times since. It never disappoints. Exceptional ambiance, great service, fabulous location! I've visited over 90 countries around the world but Castle Stuart still remains a very special and unique experience. I cannot recommend it... Castle Stuart is the quintessential castle of one's childhood imagination. We enjoyed 4 nights of our gracious hostess, Caroline Stuart's hospitality, in August, 2013. We chose the Macintosh Suite on the first level, as I harboured concerns about my ability to manage a great number of castle steps; it was the perfect choice for us. We loved our Jacobean style... With just a bit of imagination, you could believe yourself in another century, while spending time at Castle Stuart. The hidden passages, the careful attention to detail and the cleverly hidden modern touches make this a delightful stay. Add to that friendly staff, a wonderful Scottish breakfast and miniature horses and you have an unforgettable vacation experience.

Why subject yourself to "tour bus hell" to visit a castle in Scotland when you can stay in one and feel at home? Castle Stuart is a great unique experieince; the rooms, decor, atmosphere, staff and lets not forget the food, all contribute to a special accommodation experieince and I say this having just returned from a trip which included... My wife and I recently spent a night at Castle Stuart in Inverness. It was absolutely the most wonderful experience we have had in terms of vacation highlights. Caroline was fantastic and the entire staff was just amazing. Admittedly, we were a bit lucky in that there were only 2 couples staying at the Castle at the time. We had... More

This is a castle built in 1625, rebuilt about 40 years ago. It is one of the coolest places we've ever stayed - hidden doorways, drawing room, circular stairways winding your way up the turrets to your room - duck your head, some of the doorways are small, and pack light, there are no elevators. The staff was terrific and... More
