Booked two rooms, one with early check in from noon (paid extra for that). Arrived at 2.30pm, told no early check in, and only one room booked. Hotel fully booked, to boot! By now 2.40pm, but the man on duty still wouldn't allow check in for the one room until 3pm. Had to make 40 mile roundtrip to get the... more

Check in staff never cracked a smile - not interested. Corridor smelt like a toilet, bathroom had no towels. 90 minutes after checking in my car had a £30 parking ticket (in the hotel car park)! If you dare to go there beware of this as you need to pay £3 for a pay and display parking ticket - why?... more

The first thing that that surprised us on our stay is that you now have to pay to park in the car park. I am not sure why they need to charge as because of its location it would not suffer from non residents taking advantage of the free parking. We were disappointed to find that the room had not... more

You can see the hotel...but can't get to it. Very clean and well kept. You do have to pay 3 pounds each day for parking. Great bargain and safe location. more

Arrived after bumpy flight from Manchester - in pitched darkness didn't see that they now charge for parking. I would have thought that on booking in it would be policy to tell guests about the charge to make sure they know about it. After night in room that smelt like a toilet found ticket on my car - one of... more

Mu husband and I booked into this traveodge for one night. It was a truly awful experience. The room was dirty and very run down. We saw someone spill a coffee in the foyer and it was still there the next morning. We were woken up at 8 am by the very loud talking from the cleaning staff in the... more

We stayed here for the price and it was very basic accomodation. We are a family of 4 with teenage children. This was the only place on our trip where we had to make up the beds for our children. The shower also had a broken tap which meant we had luke warm showers. The staff also seemed very disinterested.... more

Stayed here with a group of friends for one night. We shared rooms between 3 of us and there was more than enough room. Two out of five of the rooms were absolutely massive! We were all located next to each which was great. Yes, you need a car to get to the centre but we used taxi's which cost... more
