Spent two nights at the castle, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent our honeymoon at this castle, in the tower room which was spacious and lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff was very friendly - we weren't able to make the breakfast for the first night and they were obliging enough to pack a breakfast for us to... more

We stayed two nights in the upper tower room at the castle. We wanted a real historical treat during our stay in Scotland and Kilravock certainly lived up to it. The castle itself is a historical landmark - with many antiques, paintings, tapestries and historical highlights throughout the building (there are tours scheduled throughout the day). Our room was very... more

We headed to Scotland for a 2 wk vacation, and staying in a castle was a must. Having looked at a number of castles, we decided to stay at this one, because it is a traditional castle, and the price was much more in line with our budget. We stayed in the tower room which was built in 1460. One... more

Scotland is full of castles, and it was a real treat to be able to actually stay overnight in the Kilravock castle near Inverness. Although it can be somewhat difficult to navigate the narrow roads in this area, once we were safely parked at the castle we were really able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We stayed in the Yellow... more

Had family coming over from Australia and wanted to give them a great Scottish experience so began checking out websites for castles in the highlands somewhere near Nessie. Checked out heaps of places but frankly the prices were extortionate and most didnt seem even vaguely child friendly. Happened on Kilravock Castle's website and decided to check it out. Excellent decision!... more

Kilravock Castle's owners over many generations, the Rose family, have passed the Castle to a Trust which operates a B&B in the castle itself and a teen ranch Christian group in separate quarters nearby. We stayed here in July 2007 for one night, never saw the teen ranch or ranchers, and loved the B&B. The castle is reached on a... more

Our family very much enjoyed our stay in the Tower Room after our wonderful greeting by Shauna. No doubt the stairway to the top is great fun! The castle gardens are gorgeous, both trees and flowers. It was a bit drizzly for us to muck over to the river, but the limited view fromt the windows is still marvelous. Great... more

We found Kilravock Castle via tripadvisor. The reviews were positive and accurate (thanks tagor from Ontario!). We (two adults, one 3-yr-old) stayed at Kilravock for one Saturday night in March 2007. Just like tagor, we stayed in the upper tower room. £55 per adult with our 3-yr-old free. Tagor's review sums up the castle very well. The room was large... more

We have had the good fortune to spend an evening at Kilravock Castle. We were travelling through the Inverness area on a family vacation and had booked one night at the castle. We had stumbled across their web site, kilravockcastle.com and decided we had to stay. Rates are reasonable too! Ranging from £25 to £55 per person. Reservations can be... more
