We were met by the housekeeper, as the hostess was away the day we arrived. The housekeeper was friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that our room, whilst tastefully furnished, was too small and cluttered. No room for our bags, so we moved one chair into the foyer. Next morning when we came down for breakfast we were 'greeted' by... More

I was rather shocked to read this review as I am always friendly to all my guests, and found these comments quite offensive. I did introduce myself to this couple at breakfast, maybe they forgot this!!! I in fact found this couple hard to talk to and they would never make eye contact when they spoke, which is very strange.... More

Trafford Bank is a first class experience in all respects. Lorraine and Bob are warm and welcoming hosts and their home is large and beautiful. Complimentary sherry and fresh milk are wonderful touches. Breakfast, served in the conservatory with views of the garden, was excellent. Bob readily and cheerfully helped out when I needed to fix my bicycle. Look no... More

A beautiful 1800s house within a 10 minute walk to town once owned by the local bishop is tastefully decorated with modern comforts yet maintaining a historical feel. The owners are amazingly warm and helpful. They upgraded us to the suite as it was out honeymoon. Bob is a jovial fellow who makes you feel welcome immediately. Lorraine had lots... More

We stayed in the Floral Suite for two nights, and really couldn't be happier. The room was spacious and elegant, and the bathroom felt like being at a spa. There was a clawfoot tub and locally made bath salts, which I took full advantage of. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! Lots of selection, with plenty to choose from for a vegetarian.... More

We stayed at this great b and b and totally enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely decorated and little extras such as a nespresso machine, local bath salts, complimentary sherry and fluffy bath robes made us feel very special. The breakfast was delicious and also prepared with love. I will come back any time.

We had a fantastic stay here, the b&b is stylish yet homely and we were very relaxed and comfortable. The rooms had everything we needed and more and the breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful.

We recently stayed at this terrific bed and breakfast in Inverness, Scotland. The host is a former interior designer; the decor attests to the fact that she is good at her work! The location is within walking distance to the pedestrian bridge into the city central area. Good food and shopping is within easy reach. The price per couple, breakfast... More

We were made to feel at home immediately upon arrival by Lorraine. The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast choices were very extensive with many local and organic products incorporated. One of the best I've had. Location is only 15 minute walk to the river, and very quiet.

My wife and I have stayed in various guest houses in Inverness over the years and they have all been very good but this time we really landed lucky. This AA 5 star guest house run by Lorraine, the owner, was perfect in every way. The room (or suite) we had was beautiful and enhanced by all the little detailed... More

Although 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of Inverness, Trafford Bank is a fantastic place to stay. Lorraine is a wonderful host and has put a lot of thought into creating a beautiful home away from home for her travellers. The quality of furnishings, cleanliness and the 'little extras' were all of a very high standard. Loved the luxury toiletries... More
