Elinor & Martin Donnelly moved in less than a year ago , after running one of Glasgow's best hotel restaurants. This is not the main north road side of the loch , but (Foyers village) sure has the view and the quiet . A bit alpine in feel. New furniture keeps arriving , our top floor room with views along... more

My boyfriend and i had a 3 day stay to celebrate his birthday and my recent pregnancy. Drove over 3hours to get there and i was suprised at how remote the hotel location was. However this made it so peaceful and the views of the loch were stunning. A car is a must in order to take advanage of inverness... more

We booked a night at this place because it looked so inviting on the website, first holiday in 19 years so thought we deserved a bit of luxury, we didn't find it there! could not believe we paid £180 per night for that rubbish, and staff who could barely bring themselves to look at you let alone speak! Especially when... more

On the plus side there's a nice view out of the window. On the downside: There were many serious problems including a dirty carpet, dirty skirting board, poor quality thin empty pillows, poor communication skills of the staff, chipped bath, moldy bathroom tiles, toilet flush not working, lack of vegetarian menu, overpriced and limited menu (£35 a head) and 'vegetarian'... more

We had a wonderful time. The views are breathtaking, the rooms are delightful and the staff (if you call what appears to be more like a family "staff") could not have been nicer. We enjoyed evenings in the pub with locals and many choices of excellent whisky. This is a nice place for a quiet break and you're sure to... more

Views excellent, hotel excellent, however this is a couples only hotel, we went with 2 children and they clearly did not cater for children, this was not mentioned when booking direct with the hotel. no childrens menu at all, actually the adult choice of menu is also very poor. the set menu was very expensive per head with no choices... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights ( 2 adults, no children) It turned out the new owners had only been in residence for one month. I couldn't fault the service. Efficient, friendly and top notch cuisine. I think the only thing that could improve the experience would be a bit of a spruce up of the decor downstairs,... more

My partner and I booked here for we thought was a luxury one night stay. We checked the website of the Hotel and it looked beautiful, four poster bed, 4 star rooms, coal fires and a view overlooking lochness. lets just say that 1 out of 4 was what we got. As soon as we arrived in the car park... more

Stayed here for one night (would have been longer if hadn't been on a tight schedule). Hotel is well off the beaten track, but the up side of that is you end up in a very peaceful and quiet setting. Stayed in a superior lake view room (4 poster). Room large, very clean and comfortable. Excellent views over Loch Ness.... more

This is an impressive old estate that has a great view of Loch Ness. Staff was very nice, even bringing a portable phone to our room when someone was trying to contact us while we were using the room phone. Our room was spacious, but not as clean as it should have been. There was a bit of an odor... more
