We have just stayed 3 nights at Torguish House. It is a marvellous B & B which provides a superb service, including comfortable bedrooms, delicious breakfasts and a guest sitting room with open fireplace. Angie and Mike could not have been more helpful.

Had a warm welcome when we arrived & because we had looked at their web site before booking knew what to expect of the rooms to book. The house & grounds are full of antiques/collections & is so fascinating, & added another side to the stay we had. The room had lots of character with a very comfortable bed. The... More

We arrived after a very long journey from Kent and received the warmest of welcomes from Angie. The interior captivated us straight away with lots of trinkets and antiques to look at that were all around. Breakfast was beautifully cooked by Mike one morning and their son the next. Angie's helpfulness was exceptional to the point of arranging a taxis... More

A warm welcome from Angie&Mike at this wonderful old house. So convenient for city of Inverness and NTS Culloden Battlefield, this former manse and childhood home of author Alistair McLean has been refurbished traditionally with lots of antique style and charm. Self catering chalets also available. Enjoy breakfast in their atmospheric dining room then browse the well stocked antique shop... More

We booked Torguish House through a third party which I learned is not a good way to book accommodation since you can't verify details well. The result was I'd booked a family room which was accessed by too many stairs for my elderly mother. Angie very kindly accommodated us with little extra cost which we appreciated. This was our favorite... More

Greeted warmly at the door, the owners could not have been more friendly & helpful throughout our stay. Situated in a very rural setting, the house had a very relaxed, peaceful atmosphere inside & out. Cosy bedrooms with cosy beds, & a full, tasty breakfast each morning. What more could you ask? We arrived as guests & left as friends.

We had a great stay at Torguish guest house, which we discovered was originally a manse and where the author Alistair MacLean once lived. Our room was clean, comfortable and well supplied. The breakfast was teriffic and the porridge delicious. Our hosts Ben and Chevonne were most helpful and kind. The house's amazing antique collection made our stay a most... More

We really loved this B&B. Very welcoming hosts. Eccentrically decorated, full of antiques and trinkets. Beautiful room with a four poster bed and window shutters. Really dark and quiet = great night's sleep. Delicious porage for breakfast. Enjoyed saying hello to the chickens and goose!

The only way to property characterise this wonderful bed and breakfast is to correctly describe it as a 'total experience'. Picture the words 'Object Art Deco, antiques, hand painted murals and motor museum pieces and you may begin to get a feel. Add in Mike and Angie’s hosting skills and we begin to reach perfection. Clean, comfortable rooms and eccentricity... More

I've knocked a marking off as it was our most expensive B&B of our trip, however, couldn't fault it at all. Rooms are of a very high quality, use of a guest lounge which enabled us to watch the Commonwealth Games, lovely breakfast room and amazing furniture and antiques. Our boys loved the full suit of armour guarding the stairs.
