Jean was fantastic from time of booking till the time we left. We had our 8 month old daughter with us & Jean went beyond her call of duty to make sure everything was perfect for us all. Absolutely outstanding. The room was great, clean, tidy and warm and the breakfast was perfect, even our daughter was thought of at... More

My family of two adults and three children stayed for three nights at Birchwood, and it was very comfortable and relaxing. Jean is so welcoming and friendly. With a rental car, the location was really great for getting into Inverness, to Loch Ness and up into the Highlands. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices. The family room was... More

Jean was a wonderful host and very friendly. My family of four stayed for one night, and she helped us plan our drive the next day, recommending places to see along the way. The room was comfortable, although the wifi didn't work at that end of the house. I would definitely recommend staying at the Birchwood House, especially if planning... More

We stayed with Jean at this guesthouse for 2 nights with our 16month old and she made us feel right at home. She did t even mind the mess our son made at breakfast - so understanding. The beds are super comfortable, the bath and shower wonderful not to mention the super soft towels. The continental breakfast was also great.... More

Our family (parents and two adult children) truly enjoyed our stay at Birchwood. Jean was a wonderful hostess who greeted us with a very warm welcome. We were treated to a wonderful continental breakfast which featured different items on each of our two mornings. We visited the Culloden Battlefield (a wonderful exhibit and GPS run audio guide...highly recommend this for... More

Very comfortable say in this B&B. Jean is fabulous with people, very helpful and informative. The dining room was well appointed with a beautiful view of the water. I can't say enough about how Jean goes out of her way to make people feel "at home". We loved our stay here and you will too!!!!

As a family of 5, I was unsure about a B&B stay, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived a the Birchwood Guest House. Jean greeted us as if we were old friends and that is how we felt for the entire stay. She is incredibly affable and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation, food and her local advice... I booked the birchwood guesthouse many months ago after I decided to run the Loch Ness marathon. I booked the family room as my husband and 2 kids (14 & 10) were joining me. I had many email exchanges with Jean, the owner regarding the room, payment etc and there was always a quick response. Jean couldn't have been more... More

We stayed in different b&bs during our trip to Scotland and we were not very satisfied with our experience at Birchwood guesthouse. We thought we were in a motel, with the rooms aligned along the corridor. We were in the family room which was clean but without any charm nor homey atmosphere. In the breakfast room, you have to help... More

Thank you for your comments, we always listen to guests feedback and take on board any suggestions to improve our service. However on occasion some guests seem to be a little unsure what to expect, or what kind of establishment and room they are booking. The property and all rooms are clearly described on all websites we display on, as... More
