I love this hotel. I first visited it due to business many years ago and have been coming back ever since. It is a family run hotel with very friendly staff to whom nothing is too much trouble. over the last few years I have been (for leisure) with my husband and my now nine-year-old daughter. The staff remember my... more

This hundred-year-old hotel has been refurbished into a pretty good imitation of a modern business hotel. Our "Executive" room was big and comfortable, with enormous bay windows providing a wonderful view across the river to the castle. Less than a 10 minute walk to the train station, surrounded by great restaurants, with an excellent laundromat and supermarket just around the... more

This long-established Inverness hotel presents a traditional stone facade and overlooks The River Ness and Inverness Castle. Refurbishments, upgradings and extensions carried out over the years mean that the interiors are not just so traditional - and they obviously have to withstand a lot of wear and tear. For an overnight stay at the end of March it proved to... more

We normally go to the neighbouring Columba but wanted to try the Palace for a change. As soon as we arrived, I was glad we did as we found the whole street dug up while they lay a new road. The Palace has a car park while the Columba doesn't. The checking in was easy and friendly. Our room was... more

We were here for 2 nights on the DBB rate, the room was grand, spacious but a bit old fashioned. It was fine though. The breakfast was ok. However... the night time meal was truly awful.. It was so bad we complained at reception and we did not have to go through it for a second night, we agreed that... more

My wife and I stayed here as part of our 20th wedding anniversary vacation through Scotland. We spent 3 nights here in June 2008. The bedroom itself was very nicely decorated, and looked to be recently refurbished. But the bathroom looked like something out of the 1950s/1960s. It was all done in this really horrid looking vomit yellow color tile.... more

Booked a standard double room originaly priced at £209 a night but picked up a bargain on laterooms for £50 a night. Hotel was very clean, great location and also very modern. Tv in the room was small but practical with 15 channels, ensuite with Shower/bath. Room was very small, find it hard to believe people pay £209 for it normally!... more

We had a fantastic wedding and wedding weekend here with our guests all of whom thought we'd chosen the perfect hotel. Great proximity to the city but with lovely views of the castle at the front, quality food, beautifully and generously presented, good bar and prices, enjoyable spa and staff who went the extra mile. Mark, the GM, was especially... more

We got an excellent deal for our two nights and a lovely room with a view on to the river and castle. The room was very clean and comfortable with attractive decor. The bed was as promised, beautifully restful. Room service was very prompt (something that more highly starred hotels could learn from) and all the staff very pleasant and... more

The hotel is ideally situated close to the city centre of Inverness. In less that 5 minutes you can walk over the river to the main shopping centre. Although located very close to the city centre it still has very picturesque surroundings as it is right in front of the river and the castle which is lit up at night.... more
