This was the 2nd day of our 6 day walk from Inverness to Glenelg through Glen Affric and we made a mistake. Ended up walking 16.5 miles instead of the planned 12.5. The only reason we didn't walk 18.5 was that our hostess passed us on the highway ( we were exhausted and thumbing by this time) and gave us... More

Thank you for your kind comments. We are sorry you had problems with the heating. The central heating is on a timer and comes on twice a day. In addition there are heaters in each room which guests have control over. The antique stove in the guest lounge is also lit each evening and morning. We hope you enjoyed the... More

Westward Bed and Breakfast is warm, comfortable and characterful - providing good value for money. We stayed in Room 1, which had a superb shower. The breakfast was good, providing a great start to the day if you are doing a long walk. The beds were comfortable and the location was very quiet, both factors providing a good night's sleep.... A good b&b for walkers with drying facilities for the wet days. Mountain forecast printed and available at breakfast time to inform walkers. A good choice for breakfast with the freshest of eggs beautifully poached.

Stayed here purely by chance. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating with plenty of freely given local knowledge. We were planning to canoe the River Glass and were given great tips. The Westward is clean and comfortable with a great fresh (especially the eggs) breakfast. Will definitely return.

We've stayed in this B&B three or four times over the past two or three years, in connection with work. It's really good: plain, simple, unpretentious, comfortable, good food, nice people, reasonable rates. Recommended. (Ignore the "when did I travel" bit: I can't remember exactly when I last stayed here, but I am becoming aware that I need to leave... More

Whether you are a hill walker, someone who loves scenery, or want to stay in somewhere lovely far from the crowds of Loch Ness, this is a wonderful place. Friendly, welcoming, and with great information on the area. The roads in are up and down and around, with wonderful views appearing around every corner. Highly suggest using this as your... More

Can't remember how I found this place but so glad I did. For a visit to Loch Ness and surroundings it's on the very limits, 15 min drive, but such a lovely location. The couple who run this b&b are so lovely and take every opportunity to make sure you are happy and help with answering any questions you may... More

Very comfortable, very friendly people. Excellent location for hill-walking. It's just a shame that there is only one pub left within walking distance for evenings (the Slaters Arms), and that's pretty poor. But lovely B&B.

Glad you enjoyed your stay with us Matthew! The Slaters Arms is the nearest pub, but there is choice of other hotels/restaurants a short drive away. More

This is a very friendly family run B&B. Me and my boyfriend stayed here three times so far and it was always a pleasure. Rooms (we stayed in all of them) are nice, clean, warm, spacious and very cosy. They provide a large selection of organic products : teas, coffees, hot chocolates, cookies etc (very nice gesture and always appreciated).... More

Charming and sensitively restored period B&B in a beautiful area, run by a friendly family. We were extremely lucky with the weather (end of February) and managed to do some fantastic walks around Cannich in some very isolated places. When we get back to the B&B, the owners were very welcoming and helped us to dry our wet equipments from... More
