We stayed in the Prince of Wales room for 6 nights. It was clean, spacious and well serviced each day. The view across the river was fantastic and the hotel's location is excellent. The ensuite was huge. We had an excellent breakfast each morning in Nico's and had a couple of enjoyable dinners as well. After our first night, we... more

We were there with a group of 20. Most of us had had massive complaints about their rooms (too small, too shabby, things not working). The staff is partly friendly, partly arrogant. Meal service seems to be overloaded with stress. The claim they had a change in ownership. Maybe the rooms willbe renovated and the complete staff trained by 2008. more

We arrived and were immediately disappointed by the shabby interior. The hotel consists of a number of buildings which means you may have to go outside into the car park or street to get to your room. We were put in a room beside the car park. The paint was peeling off the wall and there were damp patches. We... more

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 children in April 07 and booked 2 rooms. The rooms weren't connecting but were tucked away into their own little corridor giving us plenty space and privacy. However, the doors and the locks were so rickety that our kids safety in their own room was a big concern. The rooms themselves... more

I had booked a romantic weekend with my husband and thought that this hotel looked perfect but it was so bad that we checked out after an hour. The bedroom was old, shabby and dirty. The window had frosted glass on the bottom half, the 1970's wallpaper was hanging off the walls and the 'avacado green' bathroom was so small... more

I'm writing this on behalf of my mum, who is blind and has a guide-dog. I'm a regular at the Hotel bar (Nicos) and recommended the place to her as it has always seemed a nice place and the staff in particular are always helpful. When she arrived the receptionist was attentive and helpful. She was given a room in... more

It appears the people who gave 5.0 to this hotel must have stayed in a different Glen Mhor to mine (but there's only one Glen Mhor) cos' it definitely didn't seem like a 5.0 experience. The hotel was probably built in 1920s and they probably did not even bother changing the carpet or the curtains since. The decor is so... more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Glen Mhor. The location was very central and the room had a beautiful view over the River Ness. It was only a 2 minute walk from the town centre and there was ample off street parking. The staff were all very welcoming and very efficient. Breakfasts were all freshly prepared to order and... more

We booked the Glen Mhor on for a prepaid rate (I think it was approx $150). We had room number 1, which was a nicely furnished second floor room (a queen bed). The bathroom was very clean, and the hotel is VERY charming! Its located right on the river ness bank in old-town Inverness. I'm frankly baffled by some of... more

Great location and fine interior, but the twin room I had in the annexe was by what seemed to be the laundry...which operated well into the night! Bathroom was a mite garish. more
