Very comfortable hotel. Good value. Excellent position. Room was nicely appointed, comfy bed, clean. No mini bar. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant as Inverness has some really good restaurants. The leisure facilities looked amazing - although we didn't use them as we weren't there long enough. From outside the hotel isnt very inviting but once you step inside its lovely, nice modern reception, bar, restaurant. Stayed at this Hotel for One Night in July Reception and Restaurant very smart and in good decoration. Bedroom Carpet in need of replacing and Bathroom lots of stains around the bath. Have to think very carefully if I stayed here again. more

My main issue with the Thistle - we found blood on my bedsheets. We then came back the next night to find that our room key, that we left in the light socket (required to turn on the lights), was missing. We stayed at the Thistle for one night as our jumping-off point to drive around northern Scotland. Advertises a free internet but all that meant was one common use computer with an internet connection. But then they generously offer BT connection for six pounds an hour (the ad was very misleading).
