Plenty of parking. Arrived to late for dinner but staff conjured a plate of sandwiches within minutes. Stayed in the recently built annexe. Excellent, spacious, contemporary room with a ‘wet room’ type shower that gave gallons of water. The staff are great, not patronising - just friendly people. Bar choice is limited for drinks. Breakfast, in the huge modern conservatory,... more

We spent two nights at the Lochardil House hotel. It is in a perfect location for visiting Loch Ness and other places in NE Scotland as long as you have a car. It is outside of Inverness city centre. The hotel itself has character as it is quite old, but well maintained. Our room (10) was fairly small compared to... more

Like everyone else, it seems, I rate the Lochardil Hotel very highly. On my recent stay everything was faultless, it is undoubtedly the best hotel in Inverness (indeed north of Scotland perhaps), if you have a car. It is a little hard to find, so be sure to get full directions before arriving. From out of town, take the southern... more

We recently spent two nights in room 24, a junior suite on the ground floor of the Hotel’s Garden Wing, which was opened in 2006. The bedroom and bathroom were large, clean and excellently appointed. Tea- and coffee-making facilities and an iron and ironing board were provided, but, surprisingly, bathrobes were not. A patio door gave direct access to a... more

My cousin stayed here at the recommendation of a friend - brilliant find. Food, staff and room excellent, Location perfect and ideal as a base for all tourist type trips round the Highlands. Restaurant looks over beautiful gardens in quiet surroundings. Would highly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to Robert and Kelly for all their assistance with our holiday day... more

We (wife and baby son) spent a night here in mid July. We were in the new annexe – the Clan McPherson Suite or suchlike. It was nice enough – large and clean with modern furnishings. Nice, bright spacious bathroom. Nothing to write home about. Also, the hotel has a lovely garden setting. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.... more

Visited this site in June with a older relation, picked two rooms next to each other in the new build part of the hotel. Both had patio doors and you could sit outside your room getting the sun. Stayed for 4 nights, the rooms are very clean & tidy with a very large bathroom. Breakfast is brilliant the black pudding... more

We stayed at Lochardil House for two nights and were totally taken with the property. We were in the older original building with it's old world ambiance. The rooms were the best appointed we had in Scotland with all the little touches like tea service, iron and ironing board, trouser press and a fan. The rooms were also spacious and... more

Second time i've stayed here. its a nice hotel and very old. classy. the evening meal was nice but a bit boring. breaky was good quality. but enough eltonjohn piped music ! of all the great highland music, surely there is something more appropriate. overall - well worth the money and good vibe. more
