It starts with the approach. Spectacular grounds surrounding a magnificent estate home. And it continues with a warm greeting from a staff who cares greatly about making you feel at home. The public spaces are wonderful. The rooms too. The only hitch -- no elevator. We had a fabulous meal topped off with a single malt chosen from a wide... More

The grounds at Culloden House are spectacular. Peaceful entrance and gardens with harry cows in the back yard. The room was outstanding and roomy. The bar and dining area was very relaxing. Most importantly, the people were outstanding and helpful. Definitely get them to line up fly fishing on Loch Ness especially at the Glenmoriston Estate.

We stayed here 2 nights as part of a Northern Belle trip. It was recommended and well worth the extra. The period features and history of the hotel are abundant, the staff are friendly and helpful. As there are no lifts (listed building) the porter service is essential. The food was superb, we were a group of 8 celebrating a... More

This is a beautiful old country home turned into hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are large. Staff is terrific. Food is excellent although a bit expensive. Very close to the airport, Culloden Battlefield and Inverness itself for Loch Ness cruises.

This hotel had beautiful grounds with a lovely large walled garden. Impressive presentation coming in the driveway, private and elegant. The staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. The rooms are dated but comfortable, spacious and quiet - ours had a king bed, TV, shower bath, sitting areas. Dinner was absolutely delicious - gourmet - expensive - good service - worth... More

Decided to stay in Culloden House because of the positive Trip Advisor reviews we read. The approach driveway to the property was indeed beautiful - red vine climbing over the front of the stately house, guests playing croquet on the front lawn and a lovely evening - no wind nor rain, a perfect setting for a period movie. However there... More

Stately historic home with huge well equipped rooms and a quiet atmosphere close to Nairn, Castle Stewart and an easy drive to Bora and Dornoch. Sumptuous full breakfast included. From the moment one drives through the front gate (a jaw-dropping sight), the true Scottish experience begins. Our welcome could not have been more elegant and hospitable; and these two words describe the hotel most aptly. Everything was just right throughout our stay. The accomodations were beautiful and the food and meal service was exquisite. Our Martini's were perfect (thanks... More

My husband and two daughters (ages 6 and 9) spent two weeks in Scotland this August and found Culloden House to be superb in terms of service. Everyone at the desk, dining room and bar were extremely helpful. My husband and I indulged in the tasting menu while our daughters played chess in the drawing room next door and it... More
