Stayed here three nights as we made our way around Scotland playing golf and sightseeing. It is a good base for the Inverness area - easy enough to access without city traffic. The hotel is charming and historical, with the Culloden battlefield nearby. Staff was helpful and friendly. Comfortable room, but in need of an update. Meals were good but... More

Pros: Great location for all of your sightseeing. Great selection of Scotch. The rooms were clean. Delicious breakfast(I would specify how many pieces of toast that you do want because they give you WAY to many). Btw, there are ducks that live by the entrance so drive slowly they tend to go around your car because they are used to... More

The inn was lovely as you drive up to it and you imagine the inside will be the same, well! The staff is very small and the luggage management can be an issue as steps are involved all the way around. The check in was easy and friendly. The rooms on the other had need major help. They are old... More

attended a customer function here, service all day was beyond fabulous, we had a private dinner which was served with style and panache, great food and wine too, followed by a relaxing few drinks in the lounge, and so to bed in a perfect room, breakfast was stunning, fresh , local, excellent quality and cooked to order, one day I... We are traveling for 2 weeks in the UK. Staying at 5 star hotels in cities where they are available. Choose the Culloden House based on travel agent recommendations and pleased that the rate is less then half of most of the other hotels we are staying at. Well we were pleasantly surprised and this location has been our favorite.... More

This place is just stunning, the house, the grounds and the interior - both public rooms and guest rooms. Our room was at the top of the house and very nice. Always appreciate bags being taken to room and car parked for you. The staff were so helpful and brought tea and coffee to your room whenever required. Sitting in... More

The staff at Culloden House are friendly and helpful, the location is lovely and peaceful. Dinner was delicious! It's close to Inverness and all the things to see and do in the area. Ask the staff what they recommend and they will help!

this is a very nice hotel. situated in a manor house not far from the battlefield, the grounds are terrific, the staff welcoming and the rooms very comfortable. the in-house restaurant was also excellent. it's a bit pricey however.

We were a group of 8 traveling together. Spacious tired rooms, heating and cooling issues, dated linens. Great scotch collection, wine not so. Asked for 8 different wines on the list, all out of stock. Settled on wines that weren't to our liking. Surprising for a 28 room hotel. Staff, warm, friendly, accommodating in all aspects. All flower beds are... More

Dear Mark R, Thank you for your review, its always lovely to hear that the team have excelled. I do apologize that your wine selections were not available, with a full dining room on both Friday and Saturday evenings some of the selections were exhausted which did leave us short on Sunday. Maybe you missed our 4 acre walled garden?... More

A lovely old manor house with lots of history, The Culloden House is just a bit faded and could use a bit of sprucing up to make it more worth the $500.night tariff. The staff were all delightful and the grounds very impressive. Most impressive was the dining room, truly one of the best meals we had in a long... More
