Booked in for two nights. The reception area is shabby, with boxes, lots of paperwork stored behind reception. Receptionist couldn't find our booking, searching in boxes.... then the computer was slow. The room was a double on the first floor, very thin walls, could hear every movement from other guests. Curtains in room were above the windowsill, with the linings... more

Stayed here for 1 night to attend a party in the hotel. After reading the reviews, we were slightly concerned, but we had a very pleasant experience. Staff were very attentive and our check in was smooth and efficient. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with everything we needed. Had a meal in the hotel - food was great and... more

I stayed here for one night on business as my usual hotel was fully booked. The first room I was allocated smelled of smoke and I couldnt understand why until I spotted staff member having a cigarette break right under my window! Moved to another room which was right opposite the kitchen so I had the noise of people coming... more

Had double room en suite for 1 night booked for me via laterooms.com @ £50 B&B. Value OK at this price. Location good only 5-10 minutes walk along the river to Inverness shopping centre. Room OK except for loose towel rail which I reported on departure. Also there was no heating on in the room when I arrived at about... more

Stayed as guests at this venue because the wedding was being held there. Was impressed with bar area and service during the initial part of the stay. Location and view of water was pleasant. Proximity to town was a short but doable walk. Drink and food serving times were a little limited (ie not much offered into the night) and... more

I have stayed at this hotel at least twice a year for the last 5 years due to its convenient location. It is very central so I am able to park and easily walk to my business appointment. Some years back I reviewed this hotel and gave it a very good write up as then it was one of the... more

As a frequent visitor to Inverness I have to say that I am delighted to have found The Waterside on Ness Bank. After years of staying in a variety of unloved and badly ran establishements in the Inverness area, I was recommended The Waterside by a collegue and have now found my 'home away from home' in the highlands. The... more

We have to stay at this hotel as it's the only one in Inverness my employer uses. However I, and many of my colleagues, are trying to get this changed. Let me tell you about my most recent experience. On arrival, the girl at reception didn't know how to tell which room we were booked in to. She was new,... more
