A change of plan and a susequent late booking meant that we turned to Trip Advisor for guidance when we scheduled a visit to Inverness. Having read the reviews on this externally attractive hotel, we made the assumption that far too many people are far too picky, and that any possible negative comments would have been appropriately addressed by the... more

My husband and I didn't stay in the hotel, however, we had booked a table to have dinner on the Monday night. There were only a few other dinners, so it was quite quiet. There is a lot of choice on the menu, but what we had was excellent. The waitress was attentive when we arrived, bringing us homemade bread... more

Booked in for two nights. The reception area is shabby, with boxes, lots of paperwork stored behind reception. Receptionist couldn't find our booking, searching in boxes.... then the computer was slow. The room was a double on the first floor, very thin walls, could hear every movement from other guests. Curtains in room were above the windowsill, with the linings... more

This hotel seems to be in the process of upgrading itself. It is refurbishing rooms and you could tell they were trying. They're not quite there as yet. We were in a room overlooking the front right above the restaurant and by morning, the smell of grease in our room was just about too much. There was also a lot... more

We booked 2 rooms for 1 night. I phoned to ask if the rooms had king sized beds and was told the townhouse rooms did. He promptly upgraded us at no extra charge! I was amazed and delighted, especially as it was height of season. The rooms were large and well appointed with windows overlooking the River Ness. It was... more

This is a nice hotel in a lovely location on the river close to shops, restaurants, park etc. We had a family room in the townhouse, with views front and back and 2 digital tvs. (which very much inpressed our 5 yr old) Generally the room was very nice but being in the rafters meant head room was limited in... more

We had booked through a travel agency and this hotel put my husband and me directly over their event hall that they rent to large parties. The first night the hotel owner had a party and the music was so loud that it made our room vibrate (I'm not kidding). This went on until after 2 a.m. The next day... more

This guest booked 2 rooms with the agent one of which was away from the noise but the other room was above our function suite. We endeavour to allocate non-function guests correctly but on this occassion we only had one available. Whilst we fully accepted responsibility for the guests disturbed sleep & subsequent unsatisfactory stay with us we dealt with...

We were lucky and got a room with a great view over River Ness. The room was huge. The room was like your own bedroom except much bigger and with the biggest double bed I have ever slept in. We did not dine in the hotel in the evening but judging by the way it was very busy it was... more

What a gem. I was a little worried as I booked this hotel on the phone with a rather surly/rude receptionist. However the staff were 1st class and the Hotel was one of the best we stayed at during out 10 day tour. We booked a high tea and was expecting a cuppa and some sticky buns, so were pleasantly... more

Upon arrival we were meet at the reception desk by what can only be described as a very grumpy manageress, where we were informed the we could not check-in yet as check-in wasn't until 2pm, as it was 1:30pm I thought this was a bit over the top, but never the less we thought we would there for go and... more
