This hotel was a very pleasant experience. It is located on the Ness River, a lovely part of Inverness, and still a short walk from the Center. The hotel is cosy and charming and offers terraces. The restaurant is very good, better than most specialized restaurants in town. I got a very comfortable room with a great double bed, due... More

Stayed for 1 night and was very dissapointed, the staff definetely need some sort of guidance and training. i booked to stay at the hotel ( not the cheapest of places) and ended up staying in the building next door which im sure was a converted office block, the room was cold and uninviting, and not very clean. i did... Our Felstead Town House has never been an office or anything but a private town house or guest house. It is adjacent to the hotel being only 50 mtrs or so from door to door. Cleanliness is rarely an issue that is raised indeed we get consistent high praise for this. Room 40 has no view but it is a... More

Make sure you aren,t booked into room 40 in the adjacent townhouse . It looks like a converted vets clinic whiteout the room to swing any cats. One window frosted out on bottom looks directly onto an outbuilding. And the TV didn't work We were moved for our second night when we complained However the location is superb , sitting... More

I apologise I have this response and the previous one the wrong way round. August tariffs in Inverness are a premium and we are competitive in the market place, Please do return when tariffs can be about 50% of August price and I am sure you will enjoy yourself especially if you choose a river view superior room. We were very disappointed in this hotel. It certainly needs a makeover and some staff training. The site is excellent , , but often felt that we were there for the benefit of the staff and management. The bath was unsafe and damaged for anybody with even marginal disabilities and the room needed a makeover. The restaurant was ok but... More

I am very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. I am very surprised at your negative comment about cleanliness as this is something we consistently score very high with even during the recent surprise visit by a hotel inspector who generally gave us excellent scores! Busy car parks are always a problem especially if some drivers park... More

This hotel was in need of a visit by the Hotel Inspector series. Disinterested staff, very noisy plumbing, dirty furniture and a car park almost impossible to access didn't make for a fun stay. A beautiful location but a hotel which has seen better days. This was by far the most expensive night of our trip but was absolutely not... More

I am, sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The recent visit by a hotel inspector marked us highly - especially the cleanliness. prices in Inverness in August are premium and we are competitive in the market place. Stayed here for 1 night and have very mixed feelings about the place. The location is superb on the river with great views on a quiet road but within walking distance of everything you would wish to see in the town The rooms are freshly decorated and spacious (we stayed in a double room) the restaurant has the same great... Thank you for your review. I am sorry everything was not to your liking and am looking into the service aspects you raise. August is a premium month in Inverness and prices reflect this. More

Could be a very nice and quiet, typical British small hotel, but it is also a popular place for wedding parties. If you are unlucky enough to stay there when one of those take place, that means no sleep for you my friend. We had loud music, karaoke and general party noise directly below our room until 12.30 at night,... More

I am sorry your stay was marred by a wedding reception. Our website does advise that weekends can often be busy with weddings etc. Regarding our Wi-fi I assure you it is bang up to date requiring registration only once. I frequently test it with phone, iPad and iPhone and have no difficulty. Hotel Wi-fi varies hugely but ours is... More
