The hotel was very felxible especially for someone in a wheelchair. A lift and disabled room made the stay very much easier. The in house restaurant was good and the general ambiance relaxing. The only point to watch would be the lack of parking for guests so get their early if you can to make things easier. more

This hotel should have a health & safety hazard warning when you walk in the door. We stayed here for the weekend and NEVER AGAIN. My friends got her hand jammed in the window (old victorian heavy wood style) that fell and nearly crushed her fingers as it did not have a safety latch to hold it up. It took... more

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Terrible service. Washbasin in my room had poor plumbing and the overflow thing just filled my shoes - there was no pipe attached. Sign in the toilets apologised for hte vandalism. What they meant was that someone had been tearing off the flock wallpaper. Breakfast service was ridiculous. ASH restaurant is pretentious and... more

Having just returned from a weekend in Inverness our second night was spent at this hotel and was disappointed with the room compared to where we spent the first night. It was very compact and facing the main street. Being 7 months pregnant one was looking for a relaxing evening , however managed 2 hours sleep with the noise from... more

Thank you for your kind comments. We fully appreciate that the road facing room was not suitable for you, however, it was not clear whther you had asked for a change of rooms as majority of our 85 rooms do not face the road. We are also surprised that you were not offered the discount we offer to our resident...

The room was OK. Small but clean enough. Hotel is old but gives it a certain character. Good location but no parking. Planned to have dinner in ASH, the hotel bar/restaurant, but failed miserably. The staff were far too busy to deal with pesky guests (well they have got work to do). Didn't even manage to get a drink at... more

A traditional hotel and the bedrooms are comfortable and clean and have heating you can control yourself. My second stay and I missed a bath this visit as my room only had a shower. Food and Beverage service is slightly better than the last stay. Staff, esecially in the bar, restaurant and at breakfast are not very forthcoming to serve and... more

Hotel is centrally located, and train station was virtually noiseless. Very nice, clean bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good. Downsides: Check-in is at 3:00, which is not listed on the hotel website. I phoned the day before to make sure it was okay to be a bit early for check-in, and was told no problem. Tried to check in at 2:20... more

Thank you for your kind comments about our hotel.Though we try to allot a room on arrival notwithstanding the check-in time, however, on that day, the hotel had ran full the night before and we, despite our best efforts could not release the room before the check-in time. You would kindly appreciate that we have a rigorous cleanliness standard which we...
