Lovely place, myself and partner had afternoon tea here in front of a blazing fire. Staff were more than accommodating and recommended we sit in front of the fire. Scones were served with cream and jam and were amazing!!!! I would highly recommend, the location is so pretty and staff were lovely.

Lovely old hotel on banks of the Beauly Firth, rooms and bathrooms are large and airy .Hotel has some real local history and even boasts its own ghost. Food is good and staff are very friendly. There are no lifts to the upper floors so take climbing boots with you.But views from some of the rooms are stunning.

First off, I would like to say the young woman who helped us check in and who waited on us for our stay was just wonderful! Definitely personalized service at its finest. Now.... For the hotel itself. Outside it clearly has been a little neglected with no signs of that lovely hotel properties you see in upscale lodgings. Car park... More

Wonderfully positioned on the shore of the Beauly Firth in substantial grounds. A baronial style building that retains its character & links to the owning family ( portraits on the walls etc). Furnishings are also Scottish baronial ie mix of dramatic colours & patterns - if you like that kind of thing - but it matches the character of the... More

We live close by this hotel, and four of our friends stayed to celebrate our silver wedding. They, quite simply, loved it. It could be argued that some of the furniture is dated, but it's in keeping - this is a very old house. It's warm and welcoming, it enfolds you in an embrace of the friendliest hospitality. The grounds... More

We stayed one night there and what a lovely old mansion. Other reviewers had comments about the wait staff. We had no problem. The dining room was great also the food and the service. We loved the historical aspect of the house and grounds. We thought that the draperies and furniture in the bar and lounge room could use a steam... More

This was our favorite hotel from our Scotland trip. The location is perfect, very close to town and yet in a beautiful, quiet spot overlooking the firth I have seen other reviewers say the furniture is dated, but the furniture in our room was fine, and I liked the older feel of the place. The house is hundreds of years... More

My wife and I recently spent an evening here. First the house is from the 1600s so it will have an old feel….some reviewers suggest the furniture is dated but ours was fine. The food in the restaurant was amazing, especially for foodies like us, however the service was awful. Young girl who had no idea how to work in... More

This beautiful and historic B&B is staffed by helpful and attentive personnel. The waterside location is tranquil but still conveniently close, a short drive, to downtown Inverness. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding; excellently prepared with large portions.

Our stay had elements of 'good' and 'room for improvement'. Good: location, views, lochside walks, room comfort, historical atmosphere - all really beautiful. Food also deserves a smiley mention. Room for improvement: polish of the restaurant waiting staff, (more knowledge about the menu and winelist, making sure shirts are tucked in, asking if guests are enjoying their meal, not refusing...
