We stayed at the Carisbrooke in January 2012. It is a very clean, contemporary and comfortable Guest House in a quiet but central location with it's own car park. The proprietor was most helpful and cooks a very tasty breakfast! I would heartily recommend the Carisbrooke for couples or for a business trip. Couldn't fault it.

Immaculate room, completely modern. Well-located (5 minutes on foot to the city center as well as ideally situated for touring Loch Ness and the Highlands) with off-street parking. Excellent home-cooked Scottish breakfast. The host was especially friendly and gave great advice for restaurants in town.

Stayed 2 nights on way to John O'Groats to start an end to end ride. Was just what I needed ,comfortable rooms great breakfast and a friendly relaxed enviroment.The manager[who seemed to do everything from Cooking breakfast ,cleaning rooms and welcoming you both coming and going]Great job.

Modern, comfortable, clean. I can just recommend to all Scottish guest houses and hotels to start offering simple continental breakfast as well - croissant or a sandwich will be great!

Clean, quiet, great host and great breakfast. In a street full of guest houses, the Carisbrooke sets the standards. Very good. Easy walk across the footbridge to main CBD.
