The Carisbrook Guest house was lovely. My room was clean, the location was great, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was good. I had a terrible hangover after a fantastic night at a wonderful pub called Hootinanny's, and woke up late for breakfast. I was planning on going out for a late breakfast since... More

Stayed there for two nights in June 2014. Courteous host offering tipps for dinner and trips, pleasant and clean room in the adjoining building, parking space in front of the house, delicious breakfast with a big variety :-)

We received a lovely reception when we arrived, the room and en suite was spotless. Clean towels every day with chocolates, which we thought was a nice gesture. We have stayed in 5 star hotels, but the breakfast here was far nicer. Phil manages the place very well. We would recommend this guest house, not far to the city centre.... More

We stayed here for one night with our two large dogs in the garden room at the back. We thought it was a great stay. Firstly having that car park really comes in handy when you see how busy Kenneth Street and the surrounding roads are! The room itself was lovely; tastefully decorated, clean and spacious. The chocs on top... More

Nicely tucked away from the main road, this guesthouse was just right. Spacious room with a bubble bath as an extra. Only a short walk to the lively city center makes it a solid choice for a little break. At 70 quid probably not the cheapest in town, but well worth the money.

Very enjoyable stay with my wife over the Easter weekend, Phil was fabulous and very attentive. Room was excellent and spotless and the off road parking was a bonus. Nicely decorated rooms and special touches added by Phil such as the chocolates on the beautifully folded towels. Would highly recommend this guest house and would like to stay again when... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in February and were treated really well by Philip, the manager. Nothing was too much trouble and he was polite, friendly and cheerful. He also cooked us very good and generous sized breakfasts. Our room was warm (and not overheated), bright, clean and welcoming. Also there was plenty of sachets for hot drinks and... More

We went in November/December and it was pretty cold. The heating did not come on until after 5pm and first night it was cold overnight, then heating came on about 7am Not... More

First of all our stay at Carisbrooke was OK except for a couple of very annoying incidents that marred our experience and meant we left with a very bad feeling. The room description for this guest house clearly states that wi-fi is a feature and we booked here for that very reason. We needed wi-fi as it was essential we... More
