Very welcoming and friendly owner, in fact made our stay. Decor dated but pretty well kept. Had a great nights sleep. Breakfast hour was a bit early for us but was a fine breakfast. Parking was difficult but Inverness isn't great for parking anyway.

Location was great. Parking is very difficult. You can't check in until 4:30pm. Room was ok but really overpriced for what is was. We have stayed in many B&B's and feel that for what it was it should have been much lower price that is why I scored it poor rather than average. Breakfast was not great, we couldn't drink... More

I loved staying at Kenny's bnb. It was a genuine experience. I loved his sense of humor. The rooms were just enough space and the breakfast was great. All the toast one could ever need. His dog Robbie was hilarious. I felt like we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it. The location was great. Just a moments walk... More

It was a really good experience. The building and rooms are very cozy and comfortable. We were very welcome by Kenny, who was very nice with us. The hotel is near the city center, like 10 minutes walking max and on the way you have plenty of restaurants and pubs. You also have supermarkets quite close in case you need... More

I really love Kenny and Melrose Villa, it's authentically Scottish, it's quaint, twee, there's a stags head on the wall in the breakfast room and if Laura Ashley was an older scottish lady this is the B&B she would have created. Yes it's true you can only check in between 4.30 and 8.30 but hey, that's not so bad, yes... More

Unwillingly received before check in time to only drop off back packs. Room too small, impossible to move around the bed. Springs of matras almost cut through sheets. Wifi only outside rooms, not fun when you wake up from jet lag and want to do email in the middle of the night. Shower small, but clean. Toiletflushing is hard work... More

Check-in at 4:30, with a printed reprimand at the door in case you thought otherwise. WiFi in room didn't work. Room was small for a prison cell. Breakfast unimaginative. You would do better at a hostel.

My only concern with this place was that the bed was not really all that comfortable. I woke up several times. Other than that, no issues. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean, we were very close to the downtown area. Parking is off street, and the signs indicate that permits are required from 8 am to 5 or 6 pm,... More

I overnighted in Inverness after dental work and was feeling fragile when I arrived. The owner welcomed me, warmed up some soup and brought it upstairs, offering any further help I needed. Room was great value compared to others in the area, super-clean, and an additional small heater was provided, which one really appreciates in a place with central heating.... More

I stayed at the Melrose Villa for 3 nights on a business trip and I couldn't fault it for the money I paid. This was excellent value for money, the cheapest B&B I could find, in a great central location 5mins walk from the High Street and you get a lot for your money. Despite my room being small it...
