We thoroughly enjoyed our stay @ Highfield House. The room we were allocated overlooking the front of house & car park was spacious & well equipped. The ensuite including shower was also of a good size.- we noted that in some UK B&Bs ensuite sizes were rather small & inadequate & with very little room for ones toiletries - not... More

Spacious rooms and modern facilities. This is an excellent place to stay with well cooked and ample breakfasts. In an ideal yet quiet location for Inverness or the surrounding area. The host, Margaret was welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Would recommend and would certainly use again.

Stayed 3 nights at Highfield House in late Sep-early Oct. The room and bathroom were large and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Margaret was a gracious host and wonderful cook. The homemade yogurt and fresh muffins were an added bonus to an already delicious breakfast. Margaret offers several choices for breakfast and the options vary every day. Highfield House... More

In a word, wow, in two words WOW. Could not fault this place at all, top class stay , nothing too much trouble even had breakfast done early to catch the train home at 0900 hrs, ( breakfast 0730 ) .spotlessly clean and top quality would not stop any where else if in that locality again

Me and my mum stayed there only one night but loved it! The room was spacious and the bed was a king size and we sleep really comfortable! The day was really wet and cold but we found the house and the rooms warm and with the heatings on. Very lovely stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. When... More

This was such a relaxing place to stay. There was a warm welcome and the room was comfortable and clean. There were lots of little extras in the bathroom too which was much appreciated. Breakfast was fab, nothing was too much trouble and we loved the homemade muffins. Inverness was a ten minute walk away so we could park the... More

We travelled for 6 weeks in Scotland and Highfield house was the best place we stayed. Margaret was lovely and went out of her way to accommodate our needs. We also had the best breakfasts of our trip. The two mornings we stayed there my choice was smoked salmon in a croissant and French toast. As well, there was a... More

We stayed for almost two weeks in Scotland, and this was the best place we stayed, hands down. It was a beautiful b&b throughout. I particularly liked the small touches that made it stand out: tulips in our bedroom, well-stocked bathrooms, and the bright, cheery rooms. This was the best breakfast we had on our trip, with warm, fresh baked... More

One word to sum it up...CLASSY! My husband and I arrived the day after we eloped in the Isle of Skye and Margaret let us check in earlier than the check in time since we had arrived in town earlier than expected. The B&B was so beautiful, decorated tastefully, clean; the room was spacious and comfortable. I was sorry we... More

This B&B compares to some of the best B&B's we have been in. Our hosts Margaret & Ken are excellent hosts and provided all the comforts required for the traveller and more. The room we had was spacious and being set back in a battle axe block was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. We were disappointed we weren't staying longer... More
