This was such a relaxing place to stay. There was a warm welcome and the room was comfortable and clean. There were lots of little extras in the bathroom too which was much appreciated. Breakfast was fab, nothing was too much trouble and we loved the homemade muffins. Inverness was a ten minute walk away so we could park the... More

We travelled for 6 weeks in Scotland and Highfield house was the best place we stayed. Margaret was lovely and went out of her way to accommodate our needs. We also had the best breakfasts of our trip. The two mornings we stayed there my choice was smoked salmon in a croissant and French toast. As well, there was a... More

We stayed for almost two weeks in Scotland, and this was the best place we stayed, hands down. It was a beautiful b&b throughout. I particularly liked the small touches that made it stand out: tulips in our bedroom, well-stocked bathrooms, and the bright, cheery rooms. This was the best breakfast we had on our trip, with warm, fresh baked... More

One word to sum it up...CLASSY! My husband and I arrived the day after we eloped in the Isle of Skye and Margaret let us check in earlier than the check in time since we had arrived in town earlier than expected. The B&B was so beautiful, decorated tastefully, clean; the room was spacious and comfortable. I was sorry we... More

This B&B compares to some of the best B&B's we have been in. Our hosts Margaret & Ken are excellent hosts and provided all the comforts required for the traveller and more. The room we had was spacious and being set back in a battle axe block was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent. We were disappointed we weren't staying longer... More

This is a lovely B&B- very nice, comfortable and tasteful rooms. We had a large and comfortable bed. There is a great breakfast - fresh fruit and also cooked breakfast. They are very welcome and friendly hosts. We would thoroughly recommend.

Made very welcome by Margaret and family. Large house with a homely feel. Rooms spotless with great furnishings and fantastic en suite. Large guests lounge. Food wonderful, home made yogurt, muffins and pancakes and plenty of it, yum! Would recommend to all.

We stayed here for two nights and wished it could have been more. The room was great and massive! The breakfast was equally wonderful with homemade muffins. Margaret was really nice and made the whole experience very special.

When making a 3 night stay in Inverness with my son I was delighted to have chosen Highfield House as we were made very welcome by Margaret and Ken - and stayed in a roomy and comfortable twin bedroom with tea making facilities and a spacious shower room. The breakfasts choices were all very tasty and varied - I particularly enjoyed... We arrived on our bikes in the pouring rain en route to John o Groats from Lands End. Margaret and Ken made sure our bikes were safe whilst we made ourselves at home in a lovely warm , comfortable, large bedroom. The breakfast was fabulous with a wide variety of choice. We would certainly recommend it and would stay again... More
