Where to start. Double yellow lines outside the hotel on a very busy street, almost impossible to load/unload your luggage. There is an enormous municipal car park quite nearby but it is almost impossible to find the entrance, it took me 1/2 hour to find a parking spot and walk back to the hotel. No storage space in the room,... More

This hotel has a lovely atmosphere - down to the funky layout and decor - reception and bar double up, and clever use of dividers create discrete areas. Rooms functional and spotless. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food and drink a bit pricy - but central location means there are no shortage of alternatives. Definitely be back!

Immaculately clean hotel rooms, breakfast varied and plentiful and staff very friendly and quick to help. Very convenient short walk from the station. It was slightly odd checking in at the bar/reception but efficient and welcoming, the only downside was the cost of evening meals in the restaurant - too high, but plenty of local places to eat nearby. Will... More

The hotel is in a great location near the bus and railway station and the city centre. If you expect a hotel with a reception desk and smartly dressed staff you won’t get it here. When you enter the hotel, you are right in to the bar where the lighting resembles a night club and you check in at the... More

Stayed here just this week for business. The hotel is so modern and different to any other, such a nice relaxed atmosphere! Had dinner in the restaurant aswell and the food was really good! The staff were sooo friendly, you can really tell they enjoy their job - katie stood out to me being the only one to introduce herself... More

Stayed here last night and was very impressed. The interiors are very fresh and modern and the bar area very nice indeed. It was a little noisy when I opened the window at night, but it was Saturday after all. Reception staff were very friendly indeed.

We chose the Penta after extensive research as this was our first visit the Highlands of Scotland and we wanted to stay somewhere centrally located. Not only was it a good point for travel around the area but its location in the city could not be more central. Liked the ‘lobby’ area – very modern and funky. Unusually no reception... More

The hotel is beautifully designed, which is apparent from the minute you walk through the door. The rooms are simple but clean, comfortable and better than most. The restaurant does a killer burger, but most importantly the staff are attentive, warm and go above and beyond for their guests. All the staff were excellent but Paul was particularly helpful, helping... More

20th wedding anniversary trip and having married in Scotland, we wanted to be here for a low key and fun time. The hotel was great - easy going and alternative with simple (but spotless) rooms and good breakfasts. Mojito was heavy on the rum but hey - not complaining ;-) The central location means everything is an easy walk. Also... More
