A lovely hotel in a charming setting by Loch Ness. Food was British and hearty and the staff were very helpful and friendly with Willy having a fantastic knowledge of the area to help my explore. Myself and two of my sisters went for lunch at what we thought was Cobb's restaurant I wasn't told that it is not open lunch times.......turned out it was the bar! we had three starters and three main courses...we just couldn't face the pudding. This hotel is literally on the banks of Loch Ness, which is beautiful. Their rooms are lovely, and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We didn't stay here, but we did eat here twice - once for dinner and then lunch the next day. Absolutely our best meals in Scotland. And they offer a complimentary car service to/from the restaurant from other lodgings, which was a relief for my husband, who was finally able to enjoy a drink without worrying about negotiating winding roads... more
