Great place to stay if you want to explore Inverness and surrounding area. We had our cycles so the secure bike storage was very welcome. We stayed 3 days and after an excellent breakfast managed out on our bikes each day. Recommended visits - Dochgarroch and Clachnaharry (great inn here) via River Ness and the canal, Dores at the North... More

This is my 5th time staying at this family run B&B in Inverness. 100% relaxation after a day out in the Highlands. Accommodating for gluten free vegans without feeling compromised. The bottles of Highland Spring water was a great personal touch especially after the marathon

Comfy bed in a good sized room. Amy was a friendly host that made you feel welcome. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Great views of the castle and river. Close to city center and transport. Would definitely stay again

We spent two enjoyable nights at Craigside. Ewan & Amy are gracious hosts and the location is convenient to walking to shops, restaurants and pubs. It is also easy to get out to Culloden Battlefield and the Clava Cairns. Getting to the B&B is a little tricky, get good directions or use gps! The bed was not comfortable as the... More

This delightful home is right by the Inverness Castle and the town centre. Amy and Ewen are delightful and extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. We highly recommended staying here if you visit Inverness.

Four of us were up in the Inverness area to play golf and stayed at Craigside. The place is run by Ewan MacDonald who is personable, accommodating (he organised supper for us) and a world champion curler! Craigside is very well located for locals pubs and restaurants. We had a great stay overall and would highly recommend. We will definitely... More

A great night in Inverness. Very welcoming, very comfortable rooms, and a great breakfast. Some great local pubs and restaurants (Ewan called ahead and paved the way as we were running late). A lovely stay all round, thanks. Hope to be back next year too.

Amy, the owner greeted us warmly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortably furnished and the views over the castle and estuary were wonderful. Her husband Ewan (Olympic champion curler!) was on hand in the morning to help serve us a cheery and tasty breakfast. All rooms, including the bonus guest conservatory, were clean and well appointed.... More

Amy and Ewan are wonderful hosts. Our room was perfect and very clean. The full Scottish Breakfast as well as many other types of breakfast items are available every day and it is served in a delightful, sunny breakfast room. Our room gave us gorgeous views of the River Ness and we enjoyed everything. We highly recommend the Castle Tavern... More

Location is perfect--walking distance to downtown Inversness and easy access to roads to take you around Lock Ness. Amy is full of energy and it was delightful to see her 2 year old son so at ease with quest. Ewan also made a point of stopping by at breakfast before he left for work. (FYI--He's a champion curler and has... More
