We stayed two nights at Macrae and Joyce was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was huge compared to some we stayed in although the shower was pretty small - no room to turn around. Other than that couldnt fault the place - just lovely. The bed was beautiful - almost afraid to spoil it by getting in. Very lovely... More

Arrived in Inverness to a very warm welcome from Joyce the proprietor who was full of local knowledge and helpful hints. We had an amazing week stay in a beautiful house. We stayed in a lovely room which overlooked River Ness and facing us on the opposite side of the River was Eden Court Theatre. Car parking was very safe... More

Beautifully located on the River Ness, perfect for a stroll into the town centre on an evening. Parking on site. Rooms/bathrooms very clean and everything you need in a bedroom. Landlady very jolly and very accommodating, told us where to go and where to eat etc, even gave us a voucher for free drinks. Highly recommended.

We arrived to great Scottish Welcome. Landlady very chatty/friendly and very knowledgable of the history of Inverness. Our room was overlooking the River Ness, couldn't have asked for a nicer view, everything you need in a room for a weekend. Town centre was close enough to walk, 5 minutes. Breakfast was a continental, enough to fill you up for the... More

We chose this b&b based on other comments but very disappointed. Location excellent on the river and short walk into town. However the bedroom was out of the ark! Double and single bed squashed together. Bed coverings terrible. En-suite shower was laughable and neither of us bothered as we were going home that day. Shower so tiny you could hardly... More

Lovely Townhouse, a really warm welcome and an awesome room. Secure parking behind the house on hosts own carpark. Great breakfast. A lovely view from the windows and one of the best breakfasts we had during our vacations. Real close and in walking distance to the town centre and all the interesting places in town. We loved to stay there.... More

Our room was small but reasonably comfortable. Breakfast adequate but ordinary in comparison to other similar B & B's. The owner seemed too tired of the business to put much time or effort into her guest's well being. Great position on the River Ness but no view from our window.

Lovely guest house run with efficiency by the owner. The house is beautifully restored and located on the banks of the River Ness - affording terrific views if you get a room facing the quiet roadfront. There is no cooked breakfast, but the warmth and hospitality that accompany the continental breakfast make up for this. Very professional and spotless, with... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a week long tour of the highlands. Excellent location overlooking the River Ness within easy walking distance of the centre. Friendly, chatty hostess. House and room spotless and quiet with parking at the back. Room was on the small side but had everything needed. My only negative would be the breakfast. Only... More

Arrived to a very warm welcome and shown to the beautiful room with a magnificent view of the river Ness! Conveniently located with easy access to many fabulous restaurants within minutes of the front door. The breakfast was a great start to our days exploring the surrounding areas of Inverness and the Loch. Great time away and would recommend to... More
