A note greeted us with door code and our room # - no person! The room was clean but quite small. When we returned from dinner, we could not make the bathroom lights work. No person around to assist us. Sometime after 1am the bathroom lights and fan came on! We filled out a breakfast menu with a request for... More

Sorry you did not enjoy your stay At Ardentorrie, Just to respond to some of your issues, 1. Your tour guild should have shown you to your room (as they normally do) 2. For early breakfast and any other assistance, all you had to do was press the bell, that is clearly marked on the reception desk. (there was someone... More

Stayed here only for 1 evening and was very happy with the facilities. The location is excellent and as we had booked a castle view room - the eye level view of the castle & the views of the Ness river bank and the pretty town beyond were fabulous. This is not a spacious place - but extremely functional, very... More

I was a little leery about this guesthouse based on some of the previous reviews, but I found it an excellent place to stay (2 nights). Had the room right at the top of the stairs and found it very quite... never heard anyone else... The location is what prompted staying here as you can walk to the downtown area... More

We had no complaints about our stay at the Ardentorrie guest house, but it certainly isn't a luxurious property. The location is very good and we did have a castle view room, which was very nice. The room was snug but serviceable and did include a kettle so we could enjoy tea and biscuits, which we appreciate. Breakfast was good... More

Enjoyed this place. Lots of electrical receptacles to charge phones, etc. The decor is not modern, but it is clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and while the weather was cold, the patio was stunning.

We stayed two nights here and found the service, breakfast, friendliness of staff and amenities excellent, with the great views from our room an added bonus. Ardentorrie was located only a few minutes walk from the centre of Inverness with access to the castle, shopping market and river an easy stroll. There were several great restaurants and pubs within a... More

By luck we found ourselves at the Ardentorrie Guesthouse....and several of us thought this was our favorite accommodation in Scotland. The owner was extremely personal and friendly...and quite accommodating. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the center of town and to the walkway along the river. You were able to choose breakfast and everything was on time... More

I stayed at Ardentorrie during a 5-week long student placement (I am 21 years of age) in a local Primary School and having never being to Inverness before and knowing I would be away from home (and family and friends) for so long I was admittedly apprehensive. This however immediately changed the moment I arrived at the guest house and... More

The owner has his handling of the place down to a well tuned system so there are minimal questions. This level of detail does tend to make it a little less personal thas some B&B experiences and a little mor ehotel like. They were very accomodating of an early train time we had to make and got us through breakfast,... More

My husband and I stayed for a night at Ardentorrie last week. When we arrived we found the keys waiting for us in the entryway along with sheets of paper to fill in our breakfast orders. I'm glad the keys were there, but it felt a bit impersonal. In fact, we didn't see anyone until the next morning at breakfast.... More
